Just went back and watched the highlights of Millwall away on City Player. I never realised that Maynard's injury was caused by a nothing challenge - he was chasing the ball, got shouldered by the defender and just fell really awkwardly. One of the most unlucky injuries I've ever seen! Can't wait to have him back now, hopefully he'll be ok for the run in but if not let's hope he'll get his first City goal on the opening day of next season in the Promised Land

The non-contact or minimal-contact ones can sometimes be the worst. I tore my ankle ligaments badly when I turned in football and lost my footing. Hopefully he will be back for April but who knows?

an ACL (knee grade 3 )injury is the worst injury you can get if you play any type of contact sport especially if your a top athlete
it can happen to anyone at any time . my mate did his ACL ( grade 3) on a roof working as a roofer stretching for his hammer !
Off work for 12 months and he was self employed

Yeah, one of our 11 a side players did his in last season. Has to wait 6 months for an op and then has 12 months of rehabilitation and then another 2-3 months before he is anywhere near match fit. That's nearly 2 years out of the game and all he did was fall over and land on his knee. Crazy.
