How vital is Hudson?

Mon Dec 31, 2012 12:39 pm

I've been thinking about what happened against Peterborough in his absence and it got me thinking. How vital a component is Hudson and how much of a blow would it be to lose him? Staying top is a lot more fragile than people think and I was wondering if we lost a key player like him would that upset the balance enough to bring us down. We have to get decent cover in to maintain momentum and keep up the competition for places. If we don't it would most certainly be a travesty!

I trust Malky to make the right decisions and build on the hard work already done.Cmon city!

We have decent cover in Connolly. You have to remember Peterborough was the first time Connolly and Turner lined up together at the heart of the defence. Partnerships take time. Hence why we got battered by Bristol City when Connolly made his debut.

Peterboro was just one of those days. Hudson might well have had an off day like
the rest of the lads.

But I think he is vital.

This, about twelve months after saying he was a donkey

To be fair though, he HAS improved a lot under Malky Mackay, perhaps with
Malky having been a Centre-Half himself he gets more out of him, certainly more
than Jones did!!

Keep up the good work Hudders...

I dont mind you making me look a clueless tw*t    :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Perhaps the partnership problem can be ironed out a bit on the training ground. Most probably nowhere near as good as actual game time though.

He's the king pin, he's not only a great defender he's a great captain, the best since roger Johnson, I remember when claud davies was playing for palace and he took him out, it cost us the season imo so yea I think he is the most vital player we have.
