' SAM HAMMAM '

Sun Dec 30, 2012 7:29 pm

There is no deal done, Sam is on holiday in Aspen with his family and having spoken to him a few times over the past few days I can tell you that there is absolutely no deal done at all, we are no further down the line than when where were in the summer.

Can we all just concentrate on the football being served and let's leave the politics to one side at this time.

If and when things progress then you will hear it on here but as I say let's enjoy the promotion push and support Malky and the team :ayatollah:

Hope something goes wrong for him and he's stuck there forever.

Its a message board after all, daya says one thing others can believe it or not up to them, i dont see how it would harm anyone or anything within the club if we saved tens of millions with him back on board in a diffrent role such as director of football or some shit and the debts gone that way tan could own the club 100% and only then these promises can materialise such as debt to equity. :ayatollah:

And imagine if the deal that had brought Sam to the club originally had gone wrong and he had never got involved, the one thing I know is that we wouldn't be where we are now without his input.

This is true Carl, & a point worth remembering to, because what ever anyone feels or thinks, Sam brought hope, life, & a long term vision to Cardiff City FC,,,,something we all wanted at the time. I just hope that an amicable agreement can be achieved between all concerned in due course.

Funny thread this. When Sam feels the need to 'spill the beans' we hear it here first.
Days, weeks of the same regurgitated bollocks. Now its shhhhhhhh, lets concentrate
on the football. Dont get me wrong, i agree, lets concentrate on the football. but
this feels a little like "when Sams got more to say, we'll let you know"

Two sides to this story. Id sooner just leave the big boys to play with their millions
and cheer on another City attack :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Dave, I thought you knew a lot more after your conversation with Annis at Blackburn.

This is not a pro Sam thread it was to denounce the nonsense claiming a deal is done for his return. I would like to see Sam return but as I said there has been no deal.

This is not a message from Sam, if it was I would say so, this is me believing that now is not the time to be discussing Sam Hammam unless of course a deal was done.

If I did a pro Sam thread I am sure there would be plenty of people on here having a go for it including yourself.

For my strong opinion Sam is in an excellent position and can call the shots but he is allowing our club to concentrate on getting to the Premier League. And of course that would mean a better deal for Sam to negotiate on behalf of Langston.

Now can we concentrate on the football and leave the Sam business alone.

There is no deal done because (in my opinion), he is going to get properly dicked big style by Tan and co in the not too distant future. He should have took the £9m when they offered it. I have a feeling he will live to regret that. Hat's off to him for his bravado though. I've never experienced a man who had no concept of the word compromise and as such ultimately cost himself his ownership of the club.

Because in all this, (and it explains why he thinks he should have every pound owed to him and not a penny less); wherever he is in the world, he is sitting there knowing that he lost the club because of poor business decisions fuelled by nothing but that same bravado that will in my opinion be his weakness and why the superior business and financial accumen of Tan will simply just brush him aside. He should be the one standIng on the brink of promotion to the Premiership in a state of the art stadium.

Breathed life into the club, undoubtedly but took us to where we are now? No, we got there in spite of him and as much as I HATE to say it PMG and the Riddler oversaw the turning of his vision into reality because as we all know he had wasted collosal amounts of cash, the business plan was dead in the water and he had fucked off so many influential people in the area that the council refused to do business with him any further. He left behind a bigger debt than any chairman before him despite PROMISING (and I was in the room when he made his "promise") that he would spend £3m and no more because financial prudence was the key to a successful club.

Compare him to Tan and what he is shows through, a middle Eastern wide-boy that couldn't run a f*cking bath.

Carl, you for one know that if this man was to come back to Cardiff it would split this club in two.

I thought the rebrand was supposed to split the fanbase and there is very little sight of that is there, even if Sam came back the crowds would still turn up as long as the team is winning like they turn up despite the rebrand.

thats true as long as we are wining fans will turn up ,for every old fan that turns his back on us a new fan is there to replace him this season has proved that crowds are up when every other team in the leagues has seen a fall

Thats a little unfair actually. Annis definitely opened my eyes to Sam Hammam, stuff I didn't
know. Its why i am now not jumping on his back. Even though I'm not 100% convinced, the
info i got from Annis changed my opinion on sam the 'Football man' (for the better)

Its your board, if you want to use it at any given time to promote Sams agenda, then you
wont hear me arguing the toss any more.

But this thread feels like "when SAMs got more to say, we'll tell you"

No matter who's right or wrong. I disagree with that.

As for the Football - f*cking right on!! thats what WE are, football fans. After 30 odd years
of this Club I can actually use the word FOOTBALL without having panic attacks thinking about
Andrew Jordan or Shwinky-Winky-Dinky or whatever his name was. :)

always liked sam. what fans dont understand is. there was nobody else. no other investers. and without sam we would be in league 2 now. so for all his faults. it was sam that got us on the fringe of premiership football. fact

All the news regarding Sam on here is just coming from Sams side of things.
Im sure if some of us were friends with Tan there would be plenty of news to reveal from their side of things.
The diference is the malaysian's are much more professional and dont get close to fans so they can use them as mouth pieces..
Sam hammam couldn't afford cardiff city then and sure as hell cant afford them now..

Very true. and if Sam had not left when he did ( screwing a few hundred thousand out of the club before going) where would we be now?

There would be no new stadium as the Council had made it crystal clear that with Sam still involved there would be no new stadium. We would have almost certainly have had to go into administration or even liquidation. Sam had run out of credit. No bank would lend any more. Sam was certainly not going to spend any of his own money.

Sam started the ride but also took the club to the brink of extinction with his mismanagement, or as he would say, his "love for the club".
