I have a dream

Sun Dec 30, 2012 11:32 am

I have a New Years dream that the team that i love"Cardiff City"..will play like true Championship leaders, with panash, style and with confidence, only, where winning ugly only happens now and then, instead of it being the norm match in match out,i have a dream where we will not sit back and try to defend a one goal lead instead of trying to get another goal.i have a dream where Wittingham was, once again the player he use to be and not the player he was yesterday,i have a dream where City play for the full 90 minuets instead of half that,i have a dream where a very ordinary sides like Millwall are put to the sword and not allowed to dictate large parts of the game(how many of you thought deep down that they would nick an equaliser before the game was over).......i could go on and on but i know that would bore the pants off you,and i know i will get a lot of abuse for this posting,i dare say that the "in Malky we trust brigade" will point to the fact that we are top of the table and that winning is everything, and of course there is merit in that point of view, but are we saying that the only way to success is playing ugly football week in week out,i know it would be foolish to compare us with Arsenal, but if you saw their game on Match of the Day,where they had already put seven past the Newcastle goalkeeper, and was still looking to add to their tally,no taking the ball to the corner flag and trying to waste time nonsense that Mackay would have had City players trying to do,come to think of it can you in your wildest dreams see City putting 7 goals past another team....in the cold light of day, dreams become just what they are.............dreams

Every other fan in this division also have dreams. They dream that their attacking flowing
football could be backed up by resolute defence. They dream that their teams could stop
giving away last minute equalisers. they dream that their team could be top goalscorers in
the division. They dream that they could be top of this league. They dream that they could
be five points clear at the top. The fans of the TOP clubs dream that maybe one day they
can go to the Cardiff City Stadium and WIN a six-pointer, instead of seeing a ruthless Cardiff
City side put an end to 12/15/20 match unbeaten runs.

Peterborough United are superb to watch going forward. I bet their fans have a dream too!!

Two points my dear taffyapple ............how many times have City thrown away a lead, sometimes loosing the game, and could you remind me which team won when we played the Posh recently?

Quite agree we are a resolute team... we are 5 points clear but we are not killing teams off...

Whitingham of late as been a shadow of his former self... is it because teams are wising up to him amd muscling him out

whilst we are scoring goals from all over the pitch and are 5 points clear..where would we be if we had a Glen Murray..or an Austin up front

I think ANGELIS is being realstic... I think I have the same dreams

We did sign a top goalscorer, problem is he's out for the season. Think you need to be more realistic though. Not all of your dreams are gunna happen. I'm very happy at the moment. :ayatollah:

We had Maynard but he got injured.

Thing is, Angelis doesnt like Malky and wants us to fail so he can say I TOLD YOU SO.

Can you name me a team that dominates for 90mins cos the only one around is Barcelona. Man U got played off the park yesterday but won 2-0.

3 games in a week and you expect free flowing football? My dear angelis, you sir know nothing about football.

I actually thought about it.I can only go back to'73 and in that time I've seen some good city sides but even when we got promoted in '76,82,00 I can't ever remember city bollocking every side they met.And the bottom line is any real city fan would know this.

We're still in the bottom half of the table on away form, it needs sorting out,

and if you take 10 points off us we would be on 43 points... we quite esily could be on 43 points the only difference has been luck, luck luck luck

thsts what the championship is about who takes their chances, fortunately for us sides missed there chances and we stayed in it

My dear CraigCCFC ....i have at other times, taken your lack of intelligence into account when responding to your latest tirade against me(get someone to look up the word "tirade" if you need to)but i simply must verbally smack your arse on this occasion, old bean, you say i dislike Mackay, what a stupid comment to make my old sausage, how many times do i need to tell you, that to dislike someone, you really do need to know that person,i have never met Mackay ,have had no personal contact with the gentleman,so liking him or disliking him is not an issue, what i have said on many occasions,is that i dislike his managerial style and take the view that he is simply not good enough to be our manager, also i would never wish to see City fail to prove my point of view, and as for not knowing anything about football,i have to tell you my little cherub,i was watching City play when you were just a little glint in your fathers eye, thats right Craig you were not found under a cabbage patch.....or was you, please let me know on that one

 Angelis you are a funny guy, I had a good chuckle at this post, in particular the first few lines, that's not to say though that I don't despair at your lack of any sort of passion about the club you 'allegedly' support.

i thought the millwall game was a shining example of what you see week in week out in the championship. Millwall have some good players, but without their two main goalscorers looked terrible in front of goal.

We gave them a few chances, should really have got 2 in the second half ourselves (mutch and bellamy), on another day they both go in and nobody says anything, however millwall never really looked like scoring in the last 10/15 minutes, we werent hanging on and it was pretty much as comfortable a 1-0 as you will see.

Re: I have a dream

My dear Gavlar .........you say i lack passion when it comes to the City,i do assure my friend(if i may be allowed to call you that) i have tremendous passion for the boys in red,and want desperately to see them in the Premiership, where they belong, remember im one of the few on here that supported City when they were in the old first division and were regularly getting home crowds of 40.000 or more to watch teams like the great spurs side of that time and beating them,i just can not buy into "in Malky we trust" philosophy,i simply dont rate him as a good Championship manager, never mind being a good Premiership manager, but have said on many occasions that i would be delighted if he proved me wrong, and would say so on here that i got him wrong.....one last thing on passion my old chum, when you get to my age, football is one of the very few things you can be passionate about legally...........i remain your obedient servant...Angelis

Re: I have a dream

My dear Angelis, you are not a cardiff city fan. A simple search through your posts confirms this. You have nothing good to say about the team, the management or its fans. Despite being top of the table at the end of December by a clear 5 points.

I put it to you, my dear Angelis that you are a jack troll with the IQ of a smoked haddock, you cannot wait for city to fail, so much so when crystal palace took an early lead against us you probably climaxed for the first time in many years.

Regards, your dear craigccfc.

In answer to your first point, dear boy. nobody in this division have won more
games, and the only team to have lost less games than us are currently 9 points
behind us. So, i fear, I must re-iterate....all these teams would sooner be CCFC.

your second point, my poor, deluded friend... I mentioned Peterborough Utd
deliberately. Indeed, i would challenge you to find ONE Peterborough supporter
in the whole world that would NOT swop places with CCFC right now, because
"we give away too many leads!"

Further, old chap. I imagine most Peterborough fans might answer with:

"Give away a lead? we have very rarely TAKEN the lead this season"

Your logic, old boy, is -forgive me, i cannot find the olde worlde superlative-

f*cking bonkers braa
