If it wasn't for Marshall

Sun Dec 30, 2012 10:02 am

We would not be 5 points clear at the top. He has saved us many times in far to many games. Lets make on bones about it Marshall was the difference between winning and loosing in our last three games and that is just for starters.
But got to ask why do we get possession, pass pass pass whilst going backwards, then pass back to the keeper, The keeper belts it up field where the opposition take possession. Then after another maybe fine save of Marshall we then charge up field on the breakaway. Then when the opposition get players back its then pass pass pass all the way back to Marshall for the process to start all over again.
Or is it just me ??

I have noticed this too recently. Seems to happen in the last 15-20 minutes of the game and can only think it to be a time wasting exercise

And if none of our players had scored any goals, we'd have a lot less points. ;)

Marshall like all the other members of the team have played they're part in winning 3 out of 3 games over Christmas. If Bellamy hasn't shown superior finishing quality to anything Leicester had, we wouldn't have taken 3 points. To get promoted you rely on a team effort and Marshall is part of that.

Those 2 saves from headers Marshall made in the first half were from pinpoint crosses. They were quality crossess that are impossible to defend against. Their striker did not have to move for them and our defenders were as close as you can get o marking for such a situation.

Yes Marshall made good saves but I doubt we will have to put up with such quality crossess even when we get to the premier.

Marshall has been superb for us from the Posh game on he has been brilliant .The passing back is just to keep possession but when Marshell kicks it up field its a 50/50 ball which we must win more but his distribution is good we just need to win more of those balls.

Marshall needs his own chant we always had a chant for the keeper why not Marshall after all he is Scotland's number 1 :D
