Jordon Mutchs' dive

Sun Dec 30, 2012 12:35 am

second half, ball drops to mutch on the edge of the area and he tries to flick it over the defender for a shot then dives.

Good to see everyone around me slating him for it, no room for that in the game and he should really have been booked for it, i dont like seeing bale or suarez do it, so i dont really want to see cardiff players do it.

also when noone was down pretending to be injured then getting up and sprinting when we were on a break

i dont mean to bring negitivity when we are doing so well, but these two incidents annoyed me, and if they had happened against us would have been talking points, i guess its all just part and parcel of football now though :(

In all fairness the ball was going to be kicked out if Noone didn't get up.

Never seen the Mutch incident.. from the Canton just looked like a hopeless attempt of trying to get the ball when he defo lost it.

but thats the whole point, noone stayed down hoping millwall would kick the ball out, then got up and sprinted when we had the ball. its dishonest and im probably being to naive for not wanting this sort of thing at my club.

It was the worst dive I've ever seen, he could've atleast made it look believeable  Surprised he didn't get booked.

Every club does it. As a fan who also likes rugby I think footballers should have the saving and simulating drummed out of them with more physical contact allowed. We now see defenders and forwards all over each other when a high ball comes in. Players should take the hit and get up. If they can't then fair play, but you should only stay down if you simply can't continue.

Never seen the Mutch incident to much. I take your view of it.

i dunno maybe im being silly thinking it. just dont think someone whos 6 foot tall and big and strong should be falling to the floor like a pansy, i would be embarrassed to do it (though im only 5 foot 10)

Didn't see the mutch dive but he is certainly to lightweight for his height.

Noone hhhmm suppose it goes both ways, if they scored we were a man down, the game wasn't stopped so its not a problem.

maybe i didnt explain myself i dunno (few too many wines lol) its not that the game wasnt stopped, its that he was trying to get the game stopped to gain an advantage.

Maybe, tbh though it put us at a disadvantage really.

Maybe he pushed through the pain barrier

But he has done it before, remember against Watford he got a player went off then tried to help them at the appeal

I agree

But then Noone said he would help him with the appeal and didn't touch him
It all seemed odd, Noone made himself look silly. I started a thread on it at the time

Yesterday Theo Walcott went on a run into the box, was fouled definite penalty, but instead of staying down jumped up and scored, the ref was just going to blow up for the penalty
