COULD YOU TAKE IT ?

Sat Dec 29, 2012 11:31 pm

While we have been beating and winning all these game and we love the glory at this time. If we go up, could you take the bad times that I'm sure we will have if or when we go up.
I mean for the past few seasons we have been around the top half of the table, and in play offs , but when or if we go up ,its going to be Far from Gold & glitter for us.
For all the old time supporters , and I do mean old long time supporters we have seen it and live with it for years. But Im sure even for us, we have to say , we are getting use to winning and being around the top half of the table. But how long will the new fans stay around ?

Put it this way, I can't take any more heartbreak, eapecially this season given our current position.

But in response to your last sentence, how long will the new fans stay around? I consider myself a new fan (2006) but I'll forever be around, even if we end up in League 2.

Due to area and my age it always been hard for me to attend games.. every season I went to more and more games and manage to build up friends to go with week in week out. I consider myself a new fan and I even said after some heartbreaks I ent going again but your on the phone or online booking tickets for the next game.

Whatever league I will always support Cardiff City Fc, travelling wherever.. even pre season..

Pre Season is quite happy because you miss Football for 2 months and its good to see it again. :ayatollah:

I am happy to take it as long as if we get to the premier league we don't do a QPR and buy players like Bosingwa and Cisse who won't do anything for us if we went back down to the championship. I want malky to carry on buying hungry young players like Norwich have done and build a squad with no big egos that would fight to stay up and have no problems fighting to get back up if they got relegated.

Everyone gets like that mate. After the Blackpool game at Wembley I wanted to smash the train up on the way home to be honest. I just sat there silent for the whole trip home and didn't even bother talking to anyone. It really did my head in. More due to the fact that I felt let down by certain players (no longer with us thank God).

These days though I've changed my mindset. I expect the worst and then if anything better happens its a positive. I never expect us to win a game these days whereas before, especially the season we got Bellamy on loan I was on a trip of euphoria only for it all to come crashing down.

Bristol City this year, I heard 5 people say 'F**k going away again' I walked up to my coach and the one fella was banging on about the game and said 'Fancy doing Palace next month?' :ayatollah:

I was like that after Reading playoffs, so pissed off at some of the players and manage, pluss I was pissed that I couldn't get my clapper back (It was on the pitch).
I was at the Celtic game pre-season though :D :ayatollah:

I can take anything, if/when we go up it won't be a walk in the park. Unlike some of us, I'm not someone who expects the very best, success takes time.
