Jordon Mutch: Mutch Ado About Nothing?

Sat Dec 29, 2012 10:34 pm

Always wanted to use that

Anyway, he's been dreadful in his past two appearances and has been out for a fair chunk of the season.

Why do you think he's been playing so badly? Still having problems with his foot? Not used in the correct position/formation?

Personally I think he's just completely out of form. Has the skill and ability to prove vital at this level, and I hope Malky gives him a few substitute appearances to try and regain some of his form :ayatollah:

Was out for a long time I have no doubt he will find form soon

Did ok after some initial bad play today. Needs match fitness and probably some confidence.

Our fans like to criticise someone though, even when top of the league.

A few sub appearances will do him good, worked for Rudy, so it can work for Jordon

Worked for Rudy :?

Mutch seems a confidence player to me and if hes going to let the crowd get to him then Cardiff City is the wrong type of place for a player like that.

At the minute I have him way behind Gunar in the pecking order.

I thought O SHIT! today when I seen Malky send him on, but I must be honest , I thought he did ok today.
But I must also say , I shit every time he got the ball.

By worked for Rudy I mean his performances have improved, there's no arguing that, he was absolutely useless a few weeks back. Now he's just useless

Being top of the league doesn't automatically mean that every player is playing well. Thus, I'm perfectly within my rights to point out Mutch's poor form.

I agree, Gunnarson is on a different level to him at the moment.

He started badly when he came on but thought he did really well as he got into the game. Hes been out for ages so always going to be off the pace at first

I've always wanted to use that title :old:

Very Unimpressive lately, he seems very lacklustre and I've said before a lot like berbatov with the way he moves.

The last 15mins today he was better but still lacking compared to earlier in the season.

Needs games and needs to improve, at the moment it's close between him and Ralls for the bench.

For me Mutch could be a future Whittingham but never will be in the same midfield as Whittingham. Gunnarson for me should play along Whitts and I'd even probably put Cowie in before Mutch but if Whitts wasn't playing and Mutch could have a go at his role I think he would look awesome. Unfortunately not going to get a chance to test that theory for a few years hopefully if Whitts carries on playing as much as he does.

Bit silly, just because we are top of the league it doesn't mean everyone plays to the highest level

Bit silly? we got the best team in 40 years and boys still find fault?
I guess we could always improve - but don't see any justification for slating any of the current crop.

He was really impressive beginning of the season, but that injury really set him back. I think a few sub appearances to get back into it will do him good.

Mutch is a class player. But like you say, behind Gunnarsson in the pecking order
right now. A test for him. If he has the strength of character to take his next
chance with both hands and play to the best of his ability, then we will have a
winner!! Gunnarsson has showed his mettle. Jordons turn now!

Don't be a bellend, if nothing needed improvement we'd have won every game of the season.

Yep thats the whole point of a squad and competition for places.

If Mutch can show the attitude and desire Gunnar did to win his place back then that can only be good for us.

Idiotic statement.

How many times has Mutch played? How many times has he played well? If you read the bloody post you'd realise I'm not slating him at all just discussing his poor form and how to improve it.

Always one who misses the point completely.

Dragged off at St. Andrews. It's getting worse for the lad.

hes injured

Commentator said it was nothing to do with injury, just giving the ball away too often
