Today I thought we by far deserved the win. Played well, defended well, and only for a brief period did we start lumping the ball forward and panicking.
Now 2 games ago Craig Noone was dropped, maybe for a rest, maybe as a kick up the arse as he had been looking tired and not at his best, every time he got the ball today he seemed quick, direct and scared the living shit out of their left back.
Look at Gunnarson, he came on against Palace and changed the game, he realised he had to take his chance to stay in the side and he did just that.
Craig Conway only 5 weeks ago handed in a transfer request, he then got a chance to play and has been one of our best players in the last month.
Super Kev also, been dropped, been criticised and in the last 2 games has shown what a truly great right back he really is.
Now my question is, is it time to drop Whitts ?
Not because he is playing badly, or because he needs a kick up the arse but he isn't having the influence on the game he was at the start of the season, now everyone else has competition for places, but it seems the only person that doesn't is Whitts, and maybe he just needs a game or two out to get back his full sharpness and start having a big effect on games again.
Or do you think I'm way off the mark ?

Iwould agree with that, except there's nobody in the squad to take his place. The rest of the midfielders are donkey's in comparison.

Isn't Whitts on four yellows?
If so, he'll soon have his rest.

The thing is whitts always starts great at his best he can score 20 odd goals
now this season he hasn't as often in others cos he gets tired or complacent

Bellers could give Whitts a few year, and if Bellers can do it and put in a lot more running than most of the team , Whitts should be able to too.

LADS, A lot of our players are looking tired. Naturally so. They have played a lot
of games this period. We play a high tempo, closing down, harrying, pressing kind
of game and it takes its toll. Fortunately we've reached 2013 as leaders. Thanks in
no small part to the efforts of the last few weeks. We'll get Brum out of the way
with hopefully at least a point. Then the lads will get a bit of a break AND we will
have some new faces in. I just cross my fingers Bellamy doesnt get a knock on new
years day, he needs this break. He has been absolutely superb for weeks!!
