if your carry an injury...i appologise ..if not...then you must be able to out jump a centre back that is shorter and 5 stone heavier than you...

I thought Rudy did his bit, he won the majority of headers and his touch and link up play was decent enough. In the second half, he started fading and Helguson should have perhaps come on 10 minutes earlier, but I thought Rudy did his bit for the first 60 minutes and it's harsh to criticise him.

I never understand why people slate him. Malky brought him in to do the simple job of a target man and he does that pretty well. Yes his passing is pretty suspect and he's slower than a pensioner but gets the job done.

Which game were you watching? From what I saw, he got given a lesson in aerial play by Danny Shittu. Gestede did well for the first 10 minutes but really didn't get a look in after that. In his defence, some of the balls up to him gave Shittu a head start but still, I can't remember many balls Gestede won in the air at all and even less of those balls that actually went to our players. He laid a nice ball off to Noone I think it was early on but that was it.

Spaceman must have been watching the same game as me. Like you say, Danny Shittu was on him and he's a physical monster. Like I said, Rudy faded in the second half but for the first hour, Rudy battled away and did his bit.

Fans complain, he responds by scoring the winner.
Now you're having a go at him because someone shorter manages to win a few headers against him?
Look at Helguson - 5ft.10, yet he's like a salmon out of water!
Rudy regularly gets his head on the ball, but fails with other parts of his game. Today he reversed that - his goal offered some fantastic movement and a fine finish.

Give him a break, only an inch between them both
Shittu is an experienced pro, I thought it was a good battle.

shittu did well in the air to be fair, and what made it more compelling, was that i dont think helguson won a single header when he came on
Rudys touch in the first half was superb, faded in the second half but overall a good performance.

Question: Did Helguson do better when he came on? No he didnt he barely won a ball
