Ballyhoo about Sordell

I dont understand this fixation with Marvin Sordell. He has only played 9 times this season for Bolton and 6 of them were as sub. Bolton are not exactly setting the championship alight, so if he is not featuring for an average championship side why would he be any good for the team at the top of the league. Has he been injured and only just coming back or is he just not good enough. I just dont get it.

Some players just dont settle at certain clubs.
Sordell was more than decent when he played for watford. Moving to bolton who couldnt buy a win at the time was definitely a bad move for him.

Well if city do go for him I hope your right and Malkay can get him playing again, I would hate for Sordell to come to city and do what he has done for Bolton ie nothing.

Whoever we buy now, I think Malky needs to be thinking 'Premiership'.. I reckon
we only got a few months left in this division and there is no point buying fellers
on 3 year contracts that cant cut the mustard up there. Difficult decisions to be
made. not only that, but what players ARE available that are ready for the step
up?

Thats why I suspect there may well be a big loan signing, just to help us make
that final push.

That way, Malky can start the summer with a clean slate and more money in his
back pocket to build a Premiership squad

I tend to agree with you, Polo. If we are going to be throwing 4 to 5 £million around for a new striker, better if it's spent on someone who's played/scored in recent games. What's Sordell done in the last 12 months?
