Malky on Talk Sport.

Sat Dec 29, 2012 12:47 am

Malky was being interviewed on Talk Sport about an hour ago. He's keeping his feet firmly on the ground and refuses to look further ahead than the next game, always respects the opposition regardless of who they are and he said he would only bring in players in Jan if they can add strength to the squad, he doesn't want to f**k up the team spirit in the changing room. Says the Malaysians are true to their promises and VT hasn't taken a penny out of the club.

Wise and easy words to pick. As long as he is getting that towards the players then it is going to look better.

Judging our players tweets after games you can see they are the same.

'Another 3 point's' is what you see most of the time which shows we are building confidence and we are looking to the next game.

He's doing a brilliant job in managing the City, other clubs will be aware of this and may come to head hunt him away from us, look at Martinez and Rogers at Swansea they both did a good job down there then moved on to pastures anew, hope we can hang onto him cos good managers are always in demand.

I doubt he will be moving anytime soon. He has a great relationship with the owners and if he does take us up then there will be a lovely gold pen in place for him to sign a new contract. :ayatollah:

I can't see Malky leaving before the owner wants him gone. He has a great relationship with the board, massive respect for the club and its fan base and he's always applauding our support. Plus what he has going on at youth level shows he's here for the long haul. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Malky's is doing a fantastic job, still early days and don't forget it's always easier when you are doing well, but I am delighted we have him and think we will be able to keep hold of him, he is building for the future.

Isnt he on a 12 month rolling deal?

There needs to be a balance in the mentality that during a game it is a must win cup final, but also after the game you see it as just 3 points, and the next game is the cup final, and so on. Malky seems to have done that wonderfully.

No.

He signed a new long term contract about a year ago, contact runs until 2016

Malky did a fantastic job getting us to the playoffs last season
What I think worked in his favour was the lack of players meaning he could bring in his type of player
Also the fact that the spine of the team Marshall,Hudson,Whittingham good players that have bought into his philosophy
