I agree with the above. Modern football does not care about the supporters

we no longer matter. Football used to be for the masses for the working class. But our views mean fook all at the end of the day.

One thing I picked up on there, someone complaining about the players not being close to the fans. I can only assume that's something to do with not going over and clapping the fans, and not having time for pictures and autographs. Thankfully we have a set of players with a totally different mindset

If you want a laugh, this thread is a funny one, took them nearly two hours before the subtle joke was recognised by all and the abuse of the OP stopped.

I think it's more to do with the sort of manager you have incharge of the club and its players. We currently have a manager who has grown up as a fan of football and a fan of a club with tradition (Celtic). If a manager never had connection to any club he ever played at, he never will have respect for any team he manages. Malky respects us in public, probably praises the fans than he does the players, something we haven't had since the days of Eddie May probably. You can tell he's fast falling in love with the club.

Even though I hate the Carrot munching tossers you can't help but sympathise for them, I know a few there and it's hard work for them to be motivated each time they go to a match.
I'd like to think that the club has its fans in its best interest. The manager cares about the fans and so do the players. TG is quite a friendly bloke to be honest. Lim seems to be getting more closer to the club as well. Tan turns up to almost every home game and has started going away, this shows his ongoing commitment, baring in mind he's a wealthy businessman, he keeps his eyes firmly on Cardiff City Football Club. I'd like to think we as a club are going in the right direction, once/if promotion is achieved the atmosphere will come along with it, we know we can create an atmosphere at the CCS, it's evident. Our players are top of the FL Community visits as well, not to mention we are now allowing disadvantaged kids to come to games with their families, this shows that the club cares a lot about its fanbase, not only the present fan base but the future fanbase.

No owners care about the fans. The best we hope for is that the manager and players do. Luckily we have a first class manager in this respect and a team full of individuals who do get involved with the community and are, from experience meeting a few of them, very down to Earth.
Its a sad day when the owners, manager and even the players don't give a crap. It leaves fans feeling distant from the very club they support. We are 100% fortunate in the fact that Malky has made a real effort with the fans. I honestly think if DJ was still in charge we'd be going through a very, very similar patch to them with many feeling distant. We're also lucky that TG gets involved a lot and always smiling and up for a chat outside the ground or in the players lounge when he's been in there.
