Milwall

We should really dispatch these fools in some style,as long as we can keep Henderson and Keogh quiet.

Surprisingly, Keogh has seen quite a run of form since joining the wall, scoring one in two or thereabouts. Henderson of course, has been a decent goal threat for the past few years. Wood however, would have been a far greater handful , but he's been recalled to WBA pending his move to Leicester.

Other than, we only have to get past Danny 'the Rock' Shittu and one of the less illustrious keepers in City history, David Forde, and we're home free.

On the City side, we could see Smith back which would be a welcome return. Will Bellars start again? Maybe not - a lot of games in a short period for him.

Thoughts?

weve scrapped through two important wins and it would be great to fire on all cylinders to send out a new years message :ayatollah:

I wouldn't expect an easy game, but now Chris Wood is gone it should be a bit easier.
I'd go with
.................Marshall.............
Kev......Hudson.....turner.....Taylor
.........Gunnar........Whitts...........
Noone...........................Conway
.........Mason........Helguson........

subs: Lewis, Connolly, Cowie, Mutch, Kim, Bellamy, Gestede

Maybe swap Turner with Connolly as he's been a bit ropey lately

Thanks for that update. So who up front then, Danny Nguessan?

Even better.

Keogh is out injured I think, so is Taylor

The more I consider it, the more I think we could dish out a good hiding. There squad is in all sorts of trouble, injury-wise.

Thi is probably how it will be, but with the possible addition of Bellars altough I would rest him for this one considering their depleted squad. Could also see Kim off Helguson.

Another interesting lineup would be
Same defence
......Gunnar.....Kim.........
Noone.......Whitts....Conway
............Mason/HH..........

Whitts is more effective in that attacking role, while Kim is a good passer and would suit CM. Mason up top on his own wouldn't be too bad then with Whitts behind him playing through balls over the top of the CB's. If things don't work out then in the second half just switch it

And Jimmy Abdou has only just come back from compassionate leave, so may not start, but even if he does, he may not be in the right frame of mind. I'm with you mate, if we come out of the blocks and take it to millwall, I can only see us getting a result! After The Peterborough game though, I'm nervous. 2 great performances against the foxes and palace, I just hope we keep it going now and get 3points against millwall :ayatollah:

In a way im glad we lost against P'Boro because it gives themselves a good wake up call. We must not underrate Millwall overwise we'll loose another 3 points and there is no room for silly mistakes because it will cost us in the long run

Connolly comes back in, Bellamy for Mason .... and we'll have 3-0, with a quick start goal from Helguson - cigar out for the last 20 mins (for a change)
