Marcus Olsson from Blackburn?

I think he would be the perfect signing in January. Premiership experience who plays at left back! Can also playing in midfield. He's 24 and he loves to get forward, Malky sign him up! :ayatollah: With Blackburn under achieving I think he may be tempted to come here, A realistic signing.

Completely unrealistic IMO. Firstly a player of his ability will be playing Premier League football sooner rather than later (he was linked with Chelsea in the summer!) and secondly he would cost at least £5m. A far more realistic and cheaper option would be Marc Tierney - knows the division, has the ability and is available.

He's probably the second best left back in the league behind Middlesbrough's George Friend to be fair, but with the fact he has had years of Premiership experience, is a Swedish international and Blackburn aren't short of money, I think we would have to pay a minimum of 4-5 million for him. George Friend would be my choice, I think he would be cheaper than Olsson and I think he's even better than Olsson at getting forward and is also an all round better athlete. He's taller and stronger than Olsson and although Olsson and Friend are both quick, I think Friend is better physically and defensively, particularly with dealing with high balls and crosses. I would take either of them mind as they are both Premiership quality left backs.

Would be a fantastic signing and, if Malky is looking to prepare for the Premier League already, that's the way to go.

Even if he did cost £5m, I wouldn't be disappointed. Would be a big improvement on Taylor at left back. Still, I can't see it happening.

"We've spent a lot of money in the summer, brought in Jordan Rhodes, and are paying Premier League wages. Our operating losses are such that if Blackburn make a mistake with this next appointment, God only knows where we are going to end up.

.Well if nobody makes a move soon looks like Blackburn will have to take first offer regardless of who the bids come in from so never say never

Aint he the one who played in Euro 2012? Had him in my dream team, won me loads of points.

Although Taylor will always have my backing, being one of my favourite players, Marcus Olsson would be a MASSIVE step up
