I think it will be Marvin Sordell. Not getting a look in at Bolton, probably wishes he had not listened to his advisors, and had kept on driving along the M4 to Cardiff last January.

A Big bustling centre forward? Perhaps a new target man to replace the ever ageing Helguson. Or maybe just another Maynard. A pacey goal poacher with a good attacking position sense.
This Topic has been at the back of my mind for weeks.. What do we need?

Ok, bearing in mind we have scored THE MOST GOALS IN THE LEAGUE, although a lot of people think we need a striker, do we really? Velikonja hasn't even gotten a game yet...
I just think we need 2 full backs and thats it...

What happens when Bellamy or Helguson pick up an injury? I firmly disagree with your comment.

In fact we have so many strikers Earnshaw couldn't get near the team as was loaned out, we can recall him... then theres Mason, Gestede and Velikonja PLUS Tommy Smith often played as Striker in the past!!! Loads of options, Fullbacks in what we need.

Totally agree, why go for a particular style of striker when Cameron Jerome has everything? Jerome has all the attributes required for a top Championship striker. He has the pace to feed off Helguson's flick ons and hit teams on the breaks and he has the power and strength to play the target man role, hold the ball up, link the play and then get into the box to get on the end of crosses. Jerome has it all and although I am a firm believer in the "never go back" theory, Jerome was young and raw with us, he will come back to us an even better player and he will make a huge difference!

I agree with this to a certain extent.. But I've seen Sunday league players who are more clinical in front of goal than Cameron Jerome. I find he's great for everything other than finishing.

I do agree with his finishing, he is not a clinical finisher but if he was, he would probably be in a top 6 Premiership team. He has still managed to hit double figures in struggling Premiership teams and he hit 20 goals for us the season before we sold him. For Birmingham and Stoke, Jerome has been pretty much in and out of the team, unable to get a regular run of games. I think if we signed him and he got a run of games in a top of the league team and we get his confidence up, Jerome would be unplayable.
