The last 4 teams to go up went up with,
W B A 2007 - 8 with 81 points
Wolves 2008 - 9 with 90 points
Newcastle 2009 - 10 with 102 points
Q P R 2010 - 11 with 88 points
There are now 69 points left for grabs , so with a couple more Quality players to improve and back up our challenge, we could be well on our way by the end of January .

Reading last year with 89 points.
If we look at the last five years of teams that finished 2nd we have;
2011-12 Soton - 88 pts
2010-11 Norwich - 84 pts
2009-10 WBA - 91 pts
2008-09 Brum 83 pts
2007-08 Stoke 79 pts
An average of 85 pts, nice target to head for and only 35 pts away. 1.6 pts per game.

I think we will need 90 to gain automatic

Yer lets hope the gods are with us this time round, as it is now we only need 2 key players to go out with injury and we will really be up against it . I think we depend too much on whitts to make all the play.

Really you only need 1point more than the team that finished 3rd be interesting to see who had what gap at this time and of they held on. It's more than likely going to come down to who does the best buisness in Jan.
