For a player who gets battered with fan criticism week in, week out whilst failing to score many goals, that lad somehow fails to dip in confidence. It's odd. 
I suppose he knows what to expect now as a squad player, and holds no expectations of a starting position.
Saying that, for a player dreaming of a USA call-up, you would have thought a transfer request would be on the cards in a bid for more game time...
