Very, very poor recently. Played better second half but he is largely anonymous in the last few games. Do you think he needs to be dropped/rested? Only problem is we have no one to replace him.

not every player has an exceptional game every game! we're just used to him sparkling every game... he's not doing much wrong is he, playing neat passes when needed! and he almost produced a glimar of magic today when he hit the bar from a free kick!
i do agree though, he might need a rest soon not for him to run out of steam! still one of our most consistent players!

I'm not expecting him to but it isnt one game the last few games he's been poor. He's one of our best players by far but hes off form and with any other player he would be dropped. I think if giving a couple of games to rest he would come back better

He's usually the player that stands out for us but he's been quite poor recently for his standards.

No negativity from me, delighted. I do have to be honest with my observations. Ive heard a lot about Whitts performances of late so I watched him a lot today. Lacklustre came to mind, didn't win more than 10% of any physical battles, 50/50's etc. maybe tommy smiths return can enable him to refresh physically and mentally. A whittling ham like we had in aug/sept/oct will be like gaining a promotion winning player in the latter stages.

It's because he's playing so deep, he's not getting into attacking positions. He's just shifting the ball side to side pulling the strings. I have noticed he's looking a little lethargic, but after Millwall, Brum and Ipswich we won't have a league game for a while, and he won't play in the FA Cup. He'll be back ready for Blackpool and Leicester

I honestly think Kim would be able to do a very good job in the role if Whitts ever needed a rest. I would certainly see it as an option on a sub basis when he isn't on form which he hasn't been of late
