Aron Gunnarsson

I have been very impressed by Gunnar recently and thought he was excellent again when he came on today.

At the start of the season it seemed like his days with us may have been numbered especially with the signing of Jordon Mutch. But fair play to him, he has really knuckled down and worked hard on his game, even now being able to cover at full back more than competently if required.

He has also never moaned (in public anyway!) when he wasn't in the starting eleven when, in my opinion anyway, he should have often started ahead of Mutch or Don Cowie. Instead he has taken his chance almost every time he has come on as sub and has scored some absolutely vital goals for us so far this season.

For me he's earned a starting berth for the Millwall game and I look forward to many more of those goals for the rest of the season.

Looked very good recently. He broke up alot of play today and it showed we improved when he came on.

He's one of our best players in my opinion. I can see him doing great in the Prem.

If Bellers gave us the spark just before the interval , Gunnar certainly gave us the drive and energy through the middle second half & others followed his lead. The goal was typical of his performance, determined to get there before anybody else.
