Think we'll see him throughout the early rounds of the FA Cup to be honest!

I think MM is waiting for the wright time to play him, I can see him playing in the cup and if plays well and scores a few, I'm sure we will see him in the second half of the season.

I think the arsenal fans thought the same about pires, first season was a shocker. Just got to give him time to settle.
Do we even know if he speaks English yet? Might not have settled in Wales at all yet. Give him until Xmas next season. I think malky bought him knowing he'd be nowhere near the first team in 2012

Last I heard was Malky reckons hes quite close.

I've been saying this all season. I'm amazed that Gestede makes the bench before him. Velikonja cost us £2m ffs. Atleast give him a chance.

listen, malky cannot justify leaving him in the reserves for the first half of the season, when if he wasnt ready, simply loan out to a mid table league one side. his development would improve drastically rather than one game for the development sqaud once every other month

The most puzzling thing about this is that he looked in good form in the pre season friendlies but hasn't had a sniff since. Malky knows best but he must be getting pretty pissed off at not even making the bench. My big concern is that if we do need him, he isn't going to be match fit and that's not going to help his cause. Look at what happened to Kiss a few weeks ago - sub that was so far off the pace that he had to be subbed. I can see this happening with Velikonja too - if he ever gets on the pitch.

What if his form is down to Etein not settling yet etc. loaning him out wont help him settle in Cardiff.

He needs to be given time to settle, get used to how malky wants him to play, get used to the championship style, learn the language. W have a ressies team for this. For all we know malky could be talking to him daily telling him exactly the right things, probably even told him that he was being given 6-12 months to settle in and not to even worry about a thing in that time. The top managers who have good squads generally do this. We are lucky that we don't really need him at the moment so he can be given the season to find his feet.

Didn't Malky say, as he did with Kiss in sure, that Ettien was one for the future and not immediate impact?
