Very much like those of us who accept the rebranding because of he promise of a debt free club but we are not sacrificing millions of pounds are we?

Personal Sacrifice Carl ? you have stated on here Sam is NOT Langston. So how is it a Personal sacrifice :?:

Sam is not Langston.

Langston will get their money.

you said a personal Sacrifice Carl . how is it personal if he's not Langston ????

I did indeed.

Langston will get their money.

You know it and i know it that Sam is indeed Langston ........... :!: :!: :!: :!:

I believe that Sam is not Langston.

Now then you know he is, prove it please because I don't think anyone has been able to yet!!!

Many others have said Luke, if there is £10million set aside then why not offer it in one up front payment and not staged payments of £3million now and £7million in May next year.

That does not equate to Sam will accept £10million.

It's not the way I've read it Carl.
Annis himself has said a number of times to just pay him the 10m and he will be gone. He has said exactly the same on here a number of times as what was said in the icwales article. I agreed with him, that if we had 10m we should just pay him but clearly it's not 10m which I think has confused many posters.

Seems they just need to pay up then, we will see what happens

First 10 million now 15million next week it will be 20million face facts Sam will never leave.

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Wed Jul 11, 2012 10:37 pm

So basically dont get promoted so we dont have to pay 5million

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Wed Jul 11, 2012 10:51 pm

I'm confused.

Is the current offer from VT £9million PLUS the promotion bonus

or

£9million full and final settlement with NO promotion bonus?

And if as Carl says Langston are going to get their money (£37million quoted) but VT is only paying £15million (£10million now and £5million on promotion) does this mean Sam is going to pay Langston £22million out of his own pocket?

Blimey - Sam really loves us!

I knew he was our saviour. Give him a life presidency!

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Goal posts move yet again! I would prefer city not to get promoted next season if it meant given Mr Hammam anymore money! Just like when we were minutes from Administration, Sam wants more! I believe 500k demand was sought from Mr Hammam and confirmed in the media or we were in Admin plus some money to his family!

It would be interesting if Mr Hammam did ever turn up at the ground, I am pretty certain the majority of city fans would tell him how we feel and he would unlikely return again!

I have no time for SH and will personally have small celebration when we are finally rid of this man!

No he wont be paying them out of his own pocket. I still dont get why they would take such a cut on what they are owed. And I dont also get why has it been ignored till now that they always wanted a promotion bonus

cant believe a word of it ,looks like the malaysians have called his bluff , and dont forget the malaysians are keeping everything out in the open so we fans can see/read it for our selves ,we offered 9 million sam/langstone turned it down , today i read we are still talking to sam/langstone and if 10 million will get it done the malaysians will do it , but it looks like they now want more in the way of bonuses , who the f**k are we supposed to believe , who is telling porkies to our well liked and totally respected voices on this board (you all know who i mean) and i dont wont to start any slanging matches with anyone , especially if they have been (lets say) miss informed by who ever

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

As usual, when push comes to shove Sam shows his true colours  He's just making last minute demands to see what he can screw out of our club (not just VT).

The only trouble is that this time he doesn't hold all the aces. He is an unsecured creditor on a debt that isn't actually payable until 2015 and, even then, the amount may well be subject of more litigation/delay. He also dealing with someone, unlike PMG & Riddler, who could afford to take a risk and go back to court if he pushes too far and it's anyone's guess what a full High Court trial would uncover :o

I would be amazed if Sam (sorry I meant Lanston  ) doesn't settle at a figure well below the £10m + £5m he's now asking for because, in reality, he doesn't have a leg to stand on unless he waits another 2/3 years for his money

I think u will find its Tan who moves the goal posts, remember us keeping our colour/Badge one week, then the next week Hmm.
Remember there are two people here playing for high stakes and it's not all one sided.

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Thu Jul 12, 2012 4:49 pm

annis, with all due respect but tan changing the colour and badge is a different topic all together, The change of heart was because off all the fans writing apologising etc to the club and to tan, might not be true but after all the more for change for financial reasons was far greater than the people fighting stay same, i beileve everyone wants to stay blue but it just aint going to happen for the time being now.

In fairness to Langston the £5m promotion bonus has been a common factor of ALL loan notes since loan note 1in September 2006.

It was agreed by ALL parties at the High Court hearing that the bonus was offered because Langston had agreed to reduce the loan from £24m to £15m plus £9m in stadium naming rights.

I also believe that the £10m loan note Ridsdale negotitated included not only a £5m promotion bonus but a further £5m is the club stayed in the PL for more than one season.

The club has said publically that £10m is being put aside to pay Langston but they have made offers which include varying settlement arrangements one being £8m nowplus the promotion bonus.

As I see this the club should offer the £10m it says has been set aside and keep the £5m promotion bonus, which will only be payable should we get promoted. Also stop this £8m now or £3m now and £7m in May next year just offer the £10m which it has told us has been put aside.

For god sake if we get promoted VT won't have to pay the bonus as the club will get £90m minimum just for being in the PL for one season.

Very frustrating all this posturing just offer what has been claimed has been put aside and pay the bonus from PL earnings if and when we get promoted.

Yes Gary the promotion bonus has always been there and it is not a demand from Sam, the £10million with a £5million bonus was offered just 8 weeks ago.

VT has since changed the offers but Sam wants VT to honour his offer.

Why has it never been quoted that it was always apart of the £10 million deal that sam wants?

Re: ' So were getting nearer '

Fair enough if always been there but a lot of posts were put up on here stating 10 million will resolve this which is why so many posters are now saying goalposts moved.

In fairness Annis also said earlier in this thread that SH has moved the goalposts too.

In practise the £10m will come from VT and the £5m promotion bonus will be paid from club coffers so may be that is why it hasn't been mentioned as a fundermental part of the settlement before now.

It's no surprise that there is confusion and finger pointing. Sam is obviously using this board to leak selective bits and pieces with a view to putting pressure on the club by influencing fan opinion and getting press articles.

Trouble is it's bits and pieces which are spun and it makes some people look silly.

The club are now starting to open up on the offers they are making(I don't blame them) and on we go.

It's a circus but it was obviously someone's choice to place all this stuff in the open for his own reasons.

I just don't believe the club haven't expected this and if a deal isn't done now they have a plan to progress.

p.s.I notice we signed another exciting young player today.

In answer to your topic question Annis, it appears we are not, unless there are things going on behind the scenes that you cannot say anything about until a deal is done, which is how I think the whole thing should be handled. The blame game is fuelling the minds of some morons who crave a bit of excitement.

£10million and £5million promotion bonus, life presidency and the deal to be completed by end of the month and the club can move forward big time with Sam still the 'father of the baby' :ayatollah:
