Since Malky has come in and all the negativity from the anti Malaysians poster has subsided I am more thn happy with what the Malaysians and always have been. So for me I wouldnt want Sam coming back and upseting the momentum and the feel good factor we have here under MM and the Malyasians!!

Having a go at him for what, for having a go at getting us from the bottom of the fourth division with 3,000 crowds and a derelict stadium with a reputation that no one would touch with a barge pole.
People either have short memories or have only been watching us for a short time, where were we heading before Sam cam along and woke us up?

We were not bottom of the 4th we only just got relegated from the third division.

Polo
And a yo yo team, that spent 9 years struggling in the 4th Division, with no future, true ?

Of course Sam is the head of Langston, but he is not Langston, he is the head of a group of Lebanese business men, who Sam got together to lend the Club £24 mill, not Sams money, they want it back. I continue to watch everyone turn to snipes/jokes like they are because they dont know the truth/facts.
:ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Annis, thats contrary to what Gwyn said earlier though.
How is he a crook Jinx, he is one of the few people who actually lost his own money at our club rather than make a fortune from it, crooks steal things, what has he stolen, and unless I'm wrong we still owe him 24 million pounds ALA the Langstone debt, can you imagine any other people being prepared to wait this long for their money?

Of course he lost his own money, he paid three million plus to buy the club, has he had that back? he wrote off six million pound in management fees he was to have been paid during his time there, so that's nine million, there is no doubt who ever Langstons are, Sam must have some money invested in them to be part of things, SO YES HE HAS USED AND LOST A LOT OF HIS OWN MONEY, but yes we do owe 24 million to Langstons, this could have been paid back easily out of the assets left at the club when Sam left, but as any been paid back? Lot's of people have and still are making a fortune out of what Sam started at our club, as of yet he ain't one of them.

Why didnt sam sell these assets to cover the debt? maybe he's waited for his money for so long because he doesnt have much choice? A hell of a lot of business people have a few tricks up their sleeve's regarding making money from a business in diferent ways ;) i really dont think he lost money.

Not true then as sam was only in charge from the year 2000?

He only took us 1 division higher than we had flitted between 1993 and 1999 and even then he nearly took us back down or worst out of business.

The riddler and DJ come in and made us into a competetive championship club. True or not true?

I never said he was here before the year 2000

Sam took us up two divisions and left us top of the Championship by 6pts, where were we the previous 20 years ?

Craig, they will want their money back.

If Malky was not doing such a great job you would be all turning on them, remember they wanted Shearer and they snubbed Malky for 3 days.

Re: Sam's looking well

Tue Feb 28, 2012 7:23 pm

I don't know enough about Sam's involvement to have a really strong opinion, certainly not based on rumours.

There's no doubt that the club was in a dark place "football wise" before he came along, he certainly raised the profile enormously, financially we became and from reading above still are in a mess.

Whether he took large consultants fees or he is actually 100% Langston is neither here nor there, I believe he should get back what he is owed without any interest.

I grew to dislike Sam when he supposedly demanded a large lump sum payment moments before we were allegedly going out of business, but again as stated above don't know the full picture.

We became big enough as a club to attract players, which took us on our journey, don't start me on the Riddler!

We have almost 20k ST holders in a new stadium, I personally have just had my most memorable day as a City fan, but I am concerned about the figure Annis has quoted as the actual debt.

I worry that things haven't changed at all and that we may have to sell, say Whitts or young Joe (could be a snip to somebody know for a couple of £million), but despite the debt would I swap being a City fan now with all our recent History to those of around 2000 when I confess to only being a very part time fan. Not at all!

Sam made some huge mistakes from what we read which both Gwyn & Annis have confirmed but without him these websites probably wouldn't exist, we wouldn't have just been to Wembley and I wouldn't be excited about the prospect of The Hammers coming to Town. :ayatollah:

Im sorry annis but i disagree. If DJ was getting money thrown at him by PR then we would have made alot more permenant signings paying transfer fee's rather than free transfer, loan players and offloading our best players to keep the club afloat. Remember that very interesting stat about DJ when it came to transfer moneys? Jon Parkin, the first player he had bought through transfer fee's in 28 months of management.

Not saying DJ and PR were angels or anything however, couldnt wait to see the back of them

Not really that worrying when you look at it. Manchester United are in excess of £500 million debt but because its manageable debts they are still running fine.

Thats why ive always said we needed more players and missed out on windows to get them as there was no better time than when we was 3rd and 4points above 4th to push on but the windows passed us by for whatever reason, thats the only thing that would have taken the weight off the debt would be promotion and the mass amount the malaysians have put in it would mean they would get some kind of return on . this is old news ive been saying this for months and months on end to many abusive replys :ayatollah:
