everyone keeps bleeting on about season ticket holders not being at the cup games.
three points
1 - they already fork out a shit load for a season ticket
2 - they often go to away games also
3 - and here's the big one,
a lot of season ticket holders change seats during a cup game, to get a view from a different place, thefore it shows up on
the system that, that ST holder was not in his seat, thats right he was'nt, but it dont automatically mean he was not there
either, my records will show i sat in my seat once (for palace home, only because i was worried that if i waited to get a seat
in 116 i may not get one, and end up losing mine too) but the ticket office will tell you i went to 4 games, and im sure im not
an isolated case either so remember that fact.

Thats a good point as loads of ST holders around me have moved seats during this Cup run even changing to the posh seats to try them out.
It has been custom and practice amongst all football clubs that ST holders get first choice on Cup tickets, away tickets etc. not just our club but all clubs. ST holders are entitled under the terms of their ticket to one ticket to the Cup Final before anyone else and theonly question is how do the club sell the balance of tickets after ST holders have had thiers.
As Carl has suggested I think the club may well use the opportunity to offer a ticket to anyone who buys a ST for next season but I think they should also hold back tickets to any fan who is not a ST holder who has watched the team in the away games at Oxford and Palace.

I heard from a club sponsor today that there will be 36,000 so doing the math there is some scope for 2 per ST but I'd be happy just for one for my ST and let the rest go in some order of loyalty.

Surely time constraints will mean that the "season ticket for next year" option is a non-starter
There is no way they would be able to process all next years applications and then tie up all the details in readiness for all the Carling Cup applications in time for despatch and a Final at the end of February

There would also be nothing to stop people signing up for new season tickets, taking the credit option and then cancelling after the final as it's unlikely the 1st payment would be taken until March now even if they were to announce it today.
Perhaps they will have to look retrospectively and see who bought 2011/2012 STs early last year isfthey are going down that route
I don't mind either way but the fact that the final is in February rather than May makes this particularly diofficult for the club.

Just out of curiosity as a ST holder i am entitled to one final ticket but if the club decide to give a final ticket to anyone who buys a ST mid February and i purchase my ST for next season then does that mean i can gain the entitlement of another final tickket ?.

Buy a season ticket, invest in ur club and reap the rewards.
If u carnt afford a ST then you carnt afford a £200+ day at Wembley.

now hows this for boling the blood ?
spoke to our receptionist in work this morning reguarding the wembley trip and she announce her father and brother are going, i said oh i didnt realise they were city fans (seeing as im always chatting about the city to anyone who listens) she said
"my dad's never been, and my brothers only gone once or twice, their liverpool fans"
I said well they will find it hard to get tickets if neither are on the city books, her reply was
" na they got tickets my dad knows someone working in the club, and my brothers on about cutting his cardiff shirt and liverpool shirt in half and sewing them together for the game"
so that got me thinking if someONE can provide TWO tickets for the game, how many are workers at cardiff city stadium getting each ? and depriving genuine fnas of a place at wembley ??
any idea carl ?

I knew loads of people who went to Wembley for the semis and final who had never been to a City game before or haven't been since. It's not what you know it's who. That is why it is bollocks.
Sometimes I honestly preferred the old days when we were shite and stuck in the bottom two divisions at our shitty ground where you could get an away ticket easily.

I heard the stewards had two tickets last time ,dont know how many they will get this time

I totally agree, but money talks Mike.
Please explain, its the Members get the extra ticket not the seats. App 1200 Premier members will be entitled. Importantly they averaged £1500 up front and pay between £1000 and £1200 per anum, by the end of the term of contract 5 years each member will have paid on average about £7500 which would have applied even if the City played in Div 2. Most members pledged themselves to the contract long before Stadia completion. And you have a pop, about time you tried to galvanise and not seperate the fans as comments like these do.
Shame really.Nothing to do with money some people spend that on beer, while others spend it on sport or other things.

I have two Premier Club seats, Diamond Membership, and we have not missed a home game since we moved to the new stadium. When we have got to Wembley in the past I was offered 4 tickets for each membership. As you can imagine everybody wanted tickets from me but we told them to F*!k off as they did not come to any other game.
No doubt it will be similar again as soon as tickets are available. This year we will take an extra ticket as my 85 year father in law wants to come and I doubt he'll make it for the next one.
Anyway when we know what we are allowed I'll post again.

Danny if there is anything you can accuse Annis of, separating fans is not one of them. Some people have hidden agendas and accuse him of such but they are primarily jealous bastards who know nowt.

Staff members have been entitled to BUY 2 tickets each on previous occasions

The club have 18,600 season ticket holders and each one of these will be entitled to 1 Carling Cup Final ticket each.
Premier seat holders are entitled to a few extra tickets each remember that also.
The initial allocation for WEMBLEY is expected to be 31,000 but may be up to a possible 35,000.
So basic maths tells us that there is no way the club can offer every season ticket holder 2 tickets.
Will there be a general sale for the remaining tickets ?
Or will the club look to sell season tickets for next year with the promise of a WEMBLEY ticket as the kicker ?
I think the club will play it smart by going for the season ticket option and not general sale.

Carl, don't forget I've personally been issued 200 tickets, or so the requests I've had since last night seem to think! I don't mind people enquiring but I've had people ask me for 5 or 6 tickets for their entire families

spot on..does my head in when we get to a final or when tickets are like gold..i want i want i want...
no matter who gets the tickets not everyone will and they will of course be peed off.. thats life...
Im so happy i buy my ST every year to reep the rewards of tickets without worrying..
Thu Jan 26, 2012 9:41 pm
I bought my first ever season ticket last Febuary for this season we are in now.
Many reasons why? Fed up of paying £15 tickets per game when i go to at least 15 at home a year!
Most main was to be guarnteed rewards.. like Carling Cup Final.
I only managed to grab 2 play off tickets by extreme luck and i cant imagine the thought of some knob head who has never been to a city game take my place!
I think people who have attented most of the games in the carling cup and havent got a a season ticket well i feel sorry for them they deserve a ticket!
Huddersfield, Leicester, Burnley, Blackburn, Palace (2nd leg) all great games and has created memorys!
£5-£10 tickets for these games brilliant!

For once I agree!! Plenty of ways to buy a season ticket and the club have bent over backwards to make it easy through 0% finance etc
