The sickening thing for the Palestinians is that They (Palestinians) and Their Leaders Actually welcomed Jewish People and lived side by side and considered Themselves Semetic Brethren for many centuries, Only when the American and British got involved did all the boll'x begin, And the Arab and Jew Bedouin ties of Kinship that went back to the days of Abram got shafted by the outside influence, I must say at this point I have many Jewish and Muslim/Arab Friends that actually get on very well, and one of My Israeli Friends believes the way forward is a coalition Government of both Israel and Palestine of equal standing to attain real piece, And say's many People are of the same opinion back home, Like My Friends of both state's say there's little difference in Shalom /Salom .

Unless you are going to tell us why then your post was pretty pointless.

This is what should happen, but its not going to. The Palestines have the right to live in their homeland in peace, as do the Jews who have been persecuted throughout history. It's a very delicate situation, one which I and I think most us do not understand fully. I hope the situation can be resolved so they can ALL live in peace.

Unless you are going to tell us why then your post was pretty pointless.

Why? You’re the one making judgements on other people's opinion

I have already made a comment about the conflict and it is deeply complicated. I can see the argument from both sides. Jews have been persecuted for hundreds of years and having studied the holocaust I can understand why they literally shoot first and ask questions later.

On the flip side as I have already said if the same thing happened here in Wales i.e. the UN gave away my country to millions of foreigners then I'm sure I would have been a terrorist years ago.

The only way forward is a Palestinian state on the West Bank, with guaranteed safety built in for Israel. How we can get both sides to agree to that is the big problem.

Saddam, Bin Laden , Gadaffi and now Kim Jong Il and who says Team America doesnt exist.....

I know just messin around........As for your average American, most detest any sort of war or violence, they hate it that America is involved in these conflicts. I could go on about perception of American politics abroad, which is often unfair and biased, but I really hate politics....I studied it in University, and worked with a Presidential campaign, but swore them off about ten years ago.

Each palestinian woman would have had to have had 10 kids a year to sustain the population growth.

Which would lend itself to the theory it wasn't purely Jews moving into the land.

TBH I wouldn't knock anyone for reading up on a subject.

The world was a very different place in 1948 as it was only 3 years after the end of WW2 where 6 million Jews had been exterminated by the Nazi's.

The establishment of Israel was done with the best of intentions (by the UN not Britain) in trying to provide a safe haven for a people who had been persecuted for thousands of years.

However, not enough thought was given to the welfare of the displaced Palestinians and that's where the problems have stemmed from ever since.

If only Israel could be shown that a Palestinian state on the West Bank is the way ahead, there might be a chance for peace.

It's the government a lot of the people of Israel aren't all bad people we've been in Wars like Iraq when we shouldn't of been.

I have hated seeing body bags containing young men (some only 18 or 19 years of age) returning from Iraq and Afghanistan since the wars begun in 2001.

But as time has passed has some good come from it?

For example would we have had the Arab Spring which has seen several vicious dictators (including Gaddaffi) removed from power?

You could argue that the peoples of Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and possibly Syria would never have organised themselves against their rulers if there hadn't been military intervention by the US & UK in Iraq and Afghanistan, because those campaign’s have proved that vicious dictators and regimes like Saddam Husain and the Taliban were eminently beatable.

Good Lord I'd never knock anyone for reading up on anything. But the FACTS
about Israel and Palestine are far from straightforward, so there are always
going to be differing views on it.

I personally think that the jews had a rough deal, particularly during WWII, but
for the World to say sorry by helping them shift the Palestinians was hypocrisy of
the highest order. Britain was the driving force, but America even back then was
putting the fuel in
