I appreciate that there will always be a large element of spin in the lead up to boost posting figures or widen the regular poster base (the club could do with more such imaginative marketing ploys itself) but it has increasingly become over the top in recent weeks.
The , as you say "possible" return of Chopra is a very welcome possibility and good news but not "explosive" by any definition I know. Nor is the fact that the players have had a well deserved b*llocking over their off the field activities.As you will suspect , I would say this has occured not largely as a result of Dave Jones reading this forum but as a result of a series of events which have previously been reported in the press (I do accept he may have read comments here and referred to them in his talk to the players though). Chopra and Blake in particular have had their behavioural problems publicly exposed over several months.
The problem with the Bothroyd £4m missed transfer rumour is that it is just that. The club have denied it , Fulham have denied it and Bothroyd himself has denied it. I don`t doubt that you have been told that they are all telling lies about this but , while your source remains anonymous (as a player or employee he will have to keep his head down) there are no facts available to make the reporting of such a rumour "explosive" either. I am even unsure if getting £4m for him would have been a good deal at the time as reducing the debt due to Sports Asset Management (the money couldn`t have been used for new signings as we know) had to be balanced against losing our top scorer whose goals could have (and still could) get us promoted with the consequent far greater financial rewards.
I wouldn`t want you to make things up (others accuse you of that - I haven`t) , I just think the whole update thing is becoming increasingly overhyped week by week. As a posting by itself it contained some good opinions and comments to stimulate debate.

i was categorically told in the first week of february that no club had come in with a money offer for Jay and that in fact one club( not fulham) had made a tentative enquiry.

Steve, I believe that Sky Andrew would say the total opposite to what you just said. And as well as Fulham, Stoke and Birmingham were interested in him too.

I would also agree that those teams were also interested in jay but the fact remains nobody put a firm bid on the table for him and that came from the highest level

If I am Honest Steve, I thought they were the ones who would of just bought him for their Reserves with the money they received.

Now I believe the over-hyping was done by those who were responding in that said thread, some 123 posts and thousands of views clearly show that, so I do not think this particular update was in fact over hyped, more eagerly anticipated I would like to say.
As you know when you are trying to make people aware of a particular cause or a piece of news then you need viewers and I think the evidence suggests we managed that.
Now what one person believes to be explosive can be different to another persons view and what I will say is,I believe each of those situations in the update I spoke of are all factually correct and without this update they would not be known to the 7000 or so viewers that have now looked and read what is written.
As I have to keep repeating myself I only write what I am told and if I think something is far too damaging,in my opinion, then I do not put it out as you well know because let's be honest you and I have spoken of some very private matters involving the club that I have never repeated on any message board. I accept that I put myself in the firing line and I accept I will be criticised from some quarters, who can forget when I said "Ridsdale had resigned", it took many others over 6 months to come on here and actually back up my claim that Ridsdale had in fact offered his resignation and was minutes away from the actual press conference when he pulled out his infamous service contract demanding £1million to leave. You were one of those who finally came out and backed me up eventually but did I ever start throwing peoples names about who knew as well as I did that was the case, no I didn't, so when you say my source ( in fact it is sources ) remain anonymous that will always remain as I have given my word to many many people that I would never link them any shape or form to what I write.
Can someone show me where and when Cardiff City or Fulham denied this claim ?

Carl, can I ask you some questions;
1. Did you genuinely think that your use of the word "explosive" would not have produced the reaction it did?
2. You are a victim of your own success in that there are many who now take what you say as gospel and, given all the stick Jay Bothroyd had been getting before Saturday's match, surely you must have known how many would have interpreted what you said?
3. That being the case, what do you think the reaction would have been like if Jay (a player who had been booed by some in our previous home match) would have missed the penalty on Saturday?
Just a couple of observations to finish;
1. I don't understand how you can reconcile saying;
"I would never set out to harm our club nor do I have an agenda that would not want our team, our manager and most importantly our club to succeed."
at the start of your update on Sunday with what you later said about Martin O'Neill.
2. I agree with Keith. As I mentioned earlier, your updates have become very popular and, speaking as someone who always reads them, I wonder how much difference all of the hype and advertising prior to posting they get makes now? Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel that the number of viewings and responses you get wouldn't be too much different if you just posted your updates without the publicity they are given beforehand,
