Any specifics on these rumours or are people just looking for someone to blame or to look like they have inside connections to disgruntled staff?

When did he drop clanger how did he do that ? At beginning of window in middle or last week? Bit odd considering bbm brought in someone specifically to deal with recruitment! And it doesn't tie in with bbms statements on transfers! Unless of course bbm as been giving us fans misinformation ans hiding the real facts regarding transfers?

I think BBM has been chucking out subtle hints in his most recent interviews about signing players. I can imagine he’s getting extremely frustrated himself and if another player don’t sign before the window closes I don’t think he will see out the season especially if we are flirting with relegation.

Don't know why anyone would expect us to be fishing in the same waters as them.

Wrexham have loads of money and Swansea are taking high risks with the financial rules.

I'd rather us we'd signed nobody all summer than take risks with the financial rules.

Also, they're both more established than us.

Just as an aside, does anybody know the last time we signed more than one player on deadline day?

One day doth not make a window.

But it does feel ominous that on the deadline day we are still, at least, 3 players away from a working squad.

Genuine question - I have no idea.

At the time of writing. Swansea have signed 10 including another 2 rumoured to be joining. Spending 27m in the process.

Wrexham have signed 6 with another 2 rumoured to be joining. Spending 34m

How have we fallen so far behind

Here’s another:

#EXCL - Auckland FC's 29yo English striker Sam Cosgrove is target by Cardiff City and Blackburn Rovers for January 2027!

Bound by a contract until 2027, Auckland FC value their target-man at £1.0M-£1.5M.

Apparently Swansea have opened talks with Reyes-Cleary too today.

Rumour going around we’ve made a move for Huddersfield Town captain, Ryan Ledson.

Is a DM, so wouldn’t be surprised if it has legs.

Because we're a newly promoted club and therefore harder to attract players.

Wrexham have more money than us.

Swansea received £10m for Galbraith so that helps spending.

Timings interesting for today:

Players need to physically get to Cardiff, complete a medical and sort out paperwork.

Up north, that could take 4 hours travelling, from London, 3ish? 10 hours left of the window.. any players coming in would surely be on their way already!

BBM not around today with a game later.. guess work but would imagine if anyone was to be coming in today, the work would’ve been complete prior today and it’d be a formality?

BBM took the job on and presumably agreed the transfer budget with Tan this summer, because that's not to your liking it doesn't make him a yes man

Its an opinion pal, that is what forums are about, regardless if you think its not to my liking :bluebird:

Re: " THE FINAL 24HRS OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW "

Not gonna make any hasty statements as we still have 10 hours to go

However if the board fail to give bbm the couple of bits of quality depth we desperately need then they deserve every bit of vitriol coming there way and Choo especially needs to be shown the door

Re: " THE FINAL 24HRS OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW "

Tue Sep 01, 2026 11:56 am

It’s also if/buts and maybes but I’d be intrigued to know who would’ve made BBM’s list if he was at a Wrexham or a Wolves.

He’s made it clear he doesn’t get involved in the negotiations, but has set players / profiles that he’s after. So give him a bigger budget and which are the players he’s really hoping to get after

Not seeking to spark intense forum warfare over whether he’s been backed or not! There’s been plenty of that already

Just saw Millwall are set to sign that winger we were interested in from Montpellier. I get that Millwall are a more attractive team than us at the moment, but I don't think whoever is dealing with our transfers internally, whether that be Choo or anyone else, knows what they're doing. Don't want to be all doom and gloom, but it's pathetic we've got to this stage of the window and have barely made any changes to the squad since last season.

You can argue it's the same really and no improvements have been made -

Trott - We had him last season
Scanlon - We had him last season
Moylan - Replacement for Kellyman
Bielik - Replacement for Wintle

The rest of the team is exactly the same with nothing added, and nothing taken away, so think it's imperative that we get a few through the door today. Just my opinion.

Why does being a newly promoted team make it harder to attract players? Can't the manager persuade decent players to join for some reason?

We are always being told how attractive our young, attacking team, playing style and progressive manager will mean that Premier clubs will be willing to let their brightest prospects join us on loan. Not happened yet.

It's a vibrant city (certainly compared to Lincoln and Bolton who've both managed to sign more new players than we have), there's a decent fanbase (though it could be better), great training facilities, a nice stadium.

The new financial rules seem to have relaxed the purse strings for many Championship clubs and our income from getting promotion must have increased significantly from last season.

We seem to be getting left behind a littlt.

It's gone from expecting at least three over the last few days to "hopefully" one.

Given up on any sighnings think its become obvious since last week that theres limited scope to bring in anyone otherwise getting a loan in cannot be that hard when less than a week was left of window... ffs clubs still sighning today stories abound with championship clubs buying players we're not even mentioned on R. WALES ...but live in hope (probably Bob hope) :laughing6:

You obviously don't know what "at least" means.

Thankfully I'll be long gone from this forum by the next summer window. Honestly become disillusioned this summer due to the constant point scoring against Tan.
