Stockport v Bolton in the League One final at 1pm.
Come on Bolton.
Sun May 24, 2026 12:04 pm
Bolton 1-0 up in the first three minutes
Sun May 24, 2026 12:12 pm
Stockport equalise quickly

Disallowed by VAR
Still 1-0 to Bolton.

It is 1-1 now.

Did Stockport not tell their fans - top two tiers empty
Bolton in fairness seem to have brought a decent turn out

Better game than yesterday, but the championship game was a dull, cancelling affair waiting to pounce on mistakes. There were only a few. This game is mistake central, but they can't capitalise.
I think that's the difference between L1 and the championship- capitalising on mistakes.

Should have been held at Old Trafford

2-1 Bolton

3-1 Bolton and that's probably them going up.
Brilliant goal by Dalby.

And that's it, 4-1, Bolton. Penalty and red card for a minor hair pull..... Somehow poetic
Sun May 24, 2026 2:03 pm
Bolton promoted to the Championship
Sun May 24, 2026 2:15 pm
An entertaining game and thankfully, the sending off for pulling the little girl’s hair didn’t really affect the outcome!
Congratulations to Bolton Wanderers; probably the ‘better fit’ for an already decent Championship next season!

WELL DONE BOLTON AND TOTALLY DESERVED

Glad Stockport are not going up !!

Exactly what I thought.
Not surprised one of their players got caught out by VAR for a red card offence, they'd have a red card every week if there was VAR in League One normally.
And to be fair Bolton have been the third best team I think behind Lincoln and us so they deserve to be in the Championship. Great fans too who always turn up.

Notts County v Salford City in the League Two play-off final at 3pm, which closes the domestic season.
I expect the heat will have an impact on the game, expected to be around 33c at the time of kick off.
Looks like Notts will have the majority of the fans, they were given the entire end of one part of Wembley but Salford only took the lower tier of their end of the stadium.

Salford's support is possibly the worst I've ever seen for an EFL Play-Off Final.
Mon May 25, 2026 2:34 pm
Notts County 1-0 up
Mon May 25, 2026 2:46 pm
2-0 Notts County and they have one foot in League One.
Mon May 25, 2026 3:16 pm
Ben Woodburn ...Still only 26
What happened?

I remember him supposedly being the next big thing in Welsh football at one point.
Kadeem Harris coming on too.
Mon May 25, 2026 3:33 pm
3-0 Notts County and that should be them in League One next season
Mon May 25, 2026 3:49 pm
There about 21,000 Notts County Fans
How many Salford fans ?
Looks the lowest ever for a club to Wembley in the EFL
Anyone know the attendance?

The Worlds Oldest Football Club do it 3-0

Notts County

Embarrassing support from Salford.
They're only in the EFL because of Gary Neville, Beckham, Scholes etc.
Glad that Notts County won.
Mon May 25, 2026 4:11 pm
Apparently only 5,500 Salford fans.
Very very poor for a play off final.
