What will piss me off more is if he plays our lads in a meaningless friendly on Tuesday and one of them gets injured

Rubin has done well, season has been good for him, next season will be the judgement season. If he can prove he’s able in the championship, like Wilson did when he came to us and went from strength to strength after, he will get into the prem with or without us

Ruben has already played and shown he’s not capable of playing consistently in the Championship. The only Premiership he’ll play in is the Welsh Premiership.

Still a way higher level than Cullen should be playing at

Cullen should be working in Greggs.

I don't think people are overreacting.

This is a game we were expected to win and would have if it wasn't for some really poor substitutions from the manager.

And it's not just people on here saying that.

Some may disagree with that but I don't think it's an overreaction.

Wales suffered the agony of missing out on a second successive major tournament on penalties as they lost their World Cup semi-final at home to Bosnia-Herzegovina following a shootout in Cardiff.

Craig Bellamy's side had looked on course to set up a play-off final against Italy as they led 1-0 in the second half, only to concede a late equaliser before losing on penalties, as they did to Poland exactly two years earlier in their Euro 2024 play-off final.

Wales controlled a cagey first half, dominating possession and coming closest to an opening goal as Harry Wilson's beautiful bending effort cannoned off the post.

The home side took the lead in spectacular fashion six minutes after the restart, Daniel James latching on to a wayward backpass and smashing a swerving 25-yard strike into the roof of the net.

James then hit the crossbar as the game opened up, while Wales goalkeeper Karl Darlow produced a save for the ages to claw away a goalbound header from Ermedin Demirovic.

Bosnia grew in confidence and had chances to equalise before their 40-year-old captain, former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko, headed in from a corner in the 86th minute to send the game into added time.

Both teams looked exhausted in extra time, unable to create any opportunities of note, with Bosnia trying everything they could to run down the clock and force penalties.

Darlow denied Demirovic again from the first spot-kick, while Wilson, Haris Tabakovic, Mark Harris and Ivan Basic all scored before Brennan Johnson skied his to make it 2-2 after three penalties each.

Amir Hadziahmetovic converted Bosnia's next penalty and Neco Williams saw his saved by Nikola Vasilj, handing Kerim Alajbegovic the chance to clinch victory as he sent Darlow the wrong way.

Bosnia will now host Italy on Tuesday for a place at this summer's World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Wales, meanwhile, will return to Cardiff City Stadium on the same night for a match that nobody wants, a friendly against Northern Ireland, who lost Thursday's other semi-final to Italy.

The turning point of the game was when Jordon James went off injured.

Instead of bringing on Joel or Sheehan to keep the midfield balanced and strong, Bellamy put on Cullen which left us even more open. A ridiculous decision as we were a goal up at the time.

I 100% blame Bellamy for that one decision, which allowed Bosnia to come back into the game. The momentum shift from that one poor decision allowed Bosnia to pour on the pressure to equalise - caused by Cullen miskicking the ball out to gift them their corner. We regrouped and gave it everything in extra time, but sadly it wasn't enough.

Unfortunately, we've never been very good at penalties and when Brennan Johnson stepped up, I wasn't surprised he missed. I used to think Brennan had a very bright future when he was at Forest but since joining Spurs, he hasn't progressed. I believe he's making some poor decisions off the pitch which aren't helping his performances. I don't like his character. He's a loser. At least Neco hit the target.

A disappointing result but everyone, including Craig Bellamy, will learn from it!

Some players will have spent their last minutes on the pitch in a Wales shirt and thankfully, those coming through behind them are going to be even better players than those they will replace!

I’m not a particular supporter of international football but I want Wales to do well and I see brighter days ahead with Craig Bellamy in charge and the younger players buying into his ‘system’!

The future is looking bright for Wales! :ayatollah:

Maybe it’s me. But I think Bellamy was over achieving before tonight.
But that said international football is shit anyway, so I’m probably not best placed to give verdict.

I like Bellamy and do support him but without a shadow of a doubt he got it wrong. Cullen on for James changed the game and as for Harris even being in the squad let alone playing a key part I cannot quite believe it.

Gutted

If you look at Bellamy Results, His Wins are against the poor Countries who have never achieved anything.
He never beats a good standard International Country.

In his defence Annis, the poorer countries we have often slipped up against in the past.

I think we need to accept we can’t always be attack minded, and I think Italy would have exposed us, like Belgium and England did.

Giggs was doing a great job but unfortunately he's not a good person.

Brilliant player, decent manager, terrible person.

Craig Bellamy has underlined his commitment to staying on as Wales head coach, describing it as the best job in the world.

Wales missed out on World Cup qualification in agonising fashion last Thursday, losing their play-off semi-final to Bosnia-Herzegovina on penalties.

Bellamy, who was appointed in July 2024, is contracted until 2028 but has been linked with clubs including Celtic.

However, the 46-year-old has distanced himself from such speculation and wants to lead Wales at Euro 2028, which they will co-host with England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.

"The heartbreak is actually more than I anticipated, but the energy to refocus and go again is definitely still there," said Bellamy.

"I really enjoy this. We'll talk more after it [Tuesday's friendly against Northern Ireland] probably because my mind is just so focused on the present moment. But it's the best role in the world.

"Nothing will ever compare to this so why would I want to wish it away? I've really enjoyed doing this and I still do."
