Great stuff from Colwill, who is having another good game!

We’re playing in controlled phases and we will get something at this rate!

Another Bluebird corner, sees Bagan deliver a decent ball into the box but Saville falls to the ground after heading the ball unchallenged and the referee decides to blow up, despite no contact and the Bluebirds moving forward!

That ends the first-half and it’s a stalemate where both sides had their chances :ayatollah:

HALF-TIME SCORE: LUTON TOWN 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY (45+2 minutes)

Fair play, Saville has conned the ref a treat there heading the ball and going down injured, completely stopping our attack when we’re in the box.

These L1 officials are genuinely dreadful. I thought the championship ones were bad, but f**k me.

Other than that, good half. Very open.
Midfield very disjointed after Turnbull went off.
Hopefully we can regroup and come out strong second half.

Wintle is the weak link in midfield since turnbull went off we now very soft threw the middle of the park

This has to be a BBM coaching thing. Its like we try and walk the ball in the net.
Very good good half but unless we are more clinical Luton will eventually score and win this . We just have to sign players especially as Turnball will be out for a period now too.

Have to say very enjoyable first half. I think we were fantastic for most of that. Considering we are away from home against the favourites for the league we have done really well. I think we were the better team but a couple of sloppy moments have given them the best chances. In terms of which side is playing better as a whole it’s definitely us but they have probably had the best two chances. Gutted about turnbull because he was really helping us tick in the middle. Joel is a great young player but not as composed on the ball. Great first half and looks like the ghost of port vale has been out to bed. Haven’t enjoyed watching the city as much as this in a long time

Well do well to keep Luton out, their strength appears to be our weakness also, strength and second balls.

Look good going forward but sometimes someone needs to just shoot.

Why were we not given the ball back when their fanny hurt his head heading the ball?

We were in possession so surely should have been given the ball back not given to their goalie?

Every corner they have in the second half just get one of our defenders to fall over holding their head.

I don’t know about that.
He’s the one who gets us going from the base, and mops things up.

BBM will get them in at HT, and sort out the shape. Got to remember, Joel is a different midfielder to Turnbull.
I think we will be ok, slight system tweak I think.

And… on the positive side, Robertson is due back from injury next week, so if Turnbull is out for a while, Robertson is more than capable of playing the Turnbull role.

May have missed it but Turnbull didn’t seem to be holding his leg or anything, maybe unwell?

Cracking first half between 2 teams who will be up there come the end of the season

Whatever the result today, anyone who isn't happy with the difference between last season and now needs there heads read it's actually enjoyable again to watch us play

Were not gonna win every game this season and we will lose along the way but jesus it's so refreshing watching us play good football

It's great playing pretty football and having most of the possession but as we know to our detriment, over the past 3 seasons, that means the sum total of jack sh1t if we don't turn that control into shots on target / goals!

Someone please educate me.

The wingers are hugging the lines, Rubin floats to get the ball, Joel isn't Turnbull but an 8, wintle sits, who helps the outmanned striker?

This is a part of the game we need to adopt - the dark arts.

Especially with the comical standard of refereeing in this division.

I agree and think Turnbulls keeps the ball and passes, whereas Joel wants to run and tackle, probably need a tweak at half time

Luton have had 5 shots on target against our 1 Very nice football and really enjoying the game We do seem to want to walk the ball in thou
I will enjoy the ride as I can only see this team getting better over the year. Still in the game against one of the promotion favs and doing better than I anticipated

How long does Robinson stay on the pitch, lets be honest we are carrying him.

Robinson is upended by Luton keeper Keeley and a free-kick and (fortunate for them) only yellow card is given because arguably former Bluebird Mark McGuiness was ‘covering’

Colwill hits the resulting free-kick low but it’s a routine stop for the Luton keeper

I think the ref got that one correct, keeper just totally misjudged it & CR wasn't going to go anywhere.
