Not sure about 'through the roof' but there's sure to be an increase along with a bit of a feel good factor and, if (and it's a big if) it's on it's way to being done after a few weeks there'll be an upsurge in season ticket sales.
PS. I don't think we'll be losing the red seats any time in the near future.
If we get on a decent roll crowds will improve. That would be the case whether Tan is running us or one of these groups.
Don’t think you realise how many people will return once Tan leaves. There’s many people out there that said they won’t go down until Tan is gone. I’m one of them.
You have to wonder how many just use it as an excuse to not go or have now got out of the habit of going.
I don’t know why people would use it as an excuse. For me, it doesn’t feel like my club anymore. It needs a bit of heart and soul injected back into it and that can only be done under a new regime.
It would feel less like your club because you turned you back on your club when it needed you most.
Shut up you fool.
Yeah he won that.
Of course you’re going to say that, you share the same opinion as him. To me, embracing the rebrand was turning your back on the club. That’s all I’m going to say on the matter otherwise it’s going to get ugly.
So when exactly did you stop going because of Mr Tan Mr T??
Funnily enough, I missed the season we got promoted because of an injury. I was going to go back after recovery but obviously when we changed to Red I didn’t bother. I know what you’re going to say. You’ll say I’d still be going down if it weren’t for the fact I was forced to stay away. But you’ll just be making assumptions :) but anyway, that’s me done on the topic, it just leads to arguments and I Havnt got time for it anymore. The positive is, it looks like we will be sold soon and we can put all the rebrand shite behind us and stop arguing over it. But one things for certain, I’ll be back with a ST as soon as a new owner is confirmed.

I nowadays, that group is on one hand.

Some have gone down to the odd one game here and there.
But they ve completely lost the habit

I think Tan is at the centre of it all.
Rebrand
Red seats
Worm
Silence
Nash
Whatever excuse now.

A winning team needs to be on and off the pitch

Missed out a team losing.

Morgs I’m genuinely confused by that.

We changed to red and then got promoted.

Your recollection doesn’t work. If you missed the season we got promoted because of injury that was when we were red?

Yes? The season when we changed to red and got promoted I wasn’t there for. I don’t know what you’re confused about?

worcester_ccfc wrote:People talking about crowds.

There's one thing that will see us have good crowds and one thing alone - a winning team.

To get good crowds, you just have to win a decent amount of games. Doesn't matter what league it's in.

Fans who say they won't go because of Tan didn't seem to think that when we were going up from the Championship or when we had big games in the Premier League. Neither did they say that when we've played Swansea.

A winning team is what brings in crowds. I think we'll be towards the top of the league this season, certainly around the top six at least and that will see us have decent crowds.

That's the biggest factor for sure, but a new positive owner doing the right things and communicating well with the fans, some fast attacking, goal scoring players and we would absolutely fly.

This club and players owe us, it's been grim for a good few seasons and slowly getting worse, we need to all start to get behind the team and the Manager and help them lift us!!!

So was it injury or the red because that isn’t clear at all.

Ok so I had an injury at the end of the 2011/2012 season. I knew I was going to miss the start of the 2012/2013 season so didn’t renew, but planned on going back down when I was able which was going to be around January. But then the Red got announced and i never bothered going back since. I hope that makes more sense, if not I don’t know how to make it any clearer sorry

Yes, it's all very speculative right now. Sure, some might see a capital city club down on its luck as a bargain opportunity—but ultimately, it's up to Tan to decide what it's worth. It's his club.

All we can do is wait, support the team, and focus on enjoying what we hope will be a successful season, rather than stressing over things we can’t control.

Well this post which was very great and positive has now spiralled into a quotation reply argument thread.

Can we return back to the original topic?

As for me, I’m happy with some of these takeover options. Very curious who the South African is!

Unless it’s 80 million minimum I don’t know why any supporter of this club would be happy, shows the mindset of what you think the club you support is worth.

Re: UPDATED: " THE SALE / IT'S GETTING CLOSER "

For me the sale value doesn't matter because that is simply a transaction between Tan and the new owners but I am interested in how the debt owed to Tan will be dealt. If there is a deal (potentially giving Tan a small shareholding in the new company) so that the new club is debt free - that would be good in my opinion.

I did some research some weeks back and in the EPL clubs positioned 17th upwards were valued between £500m - £1b and clubs in the lower places were worth at least £400m

So for me, getting into the EPL, would be worth at least £400m and I suspect the new owners would be looking to achieve that within 2 years.

I do see exciting times ahead.

The main question is - How far down from Tan's value will he go down ( If at all ) :o

That’s the $64,000 question, Tony; and the truth is no one outside Tan’s head really knows!

I’m confident now that he is ‘prepared’ and ‘wants’ to sell, so the only questions that remain are ‘at what cost, and might there be an option to push at least part of the payment down the line?

I’ve heard some of the figures suggested and they appear generous to me, but I’m not Vincent Tan, and we know he is both tough and seemingly intransigent in his business dealings

If it means relinquishing control of the club/business, then it is feasible that an agreed payment would be made to him at some point in the future, and whilst a clean break is what we want as supporters, I would accept such a deal in principle, if it saw an end to his physical involvement with us

We need to move on, it’s well overdue, and I hope it happens sooner rather than later! :ayatollah:

The quicker the better, it looks like it's already affecting the start to this season.
