Agree :thumbright:

I also agree. My preference would have been Buckingham but I’m excited and looking forward to what the new manager can do.

To be fair virtually every manager is a gamble.

BBC

LEICESTER CITY IN BIG CUT BACKS DUE TO BREAKING RULES:

Leicester City could face a future points deduction after being charged with an alleged breach of the English Football League's financial rules.

The Foxes have been referred to an independent commission after being charged by the Premier League for an alleged profit and sustainability (PSR) breach for the year 2023-24, when they were in the Championship.
The new charge follows a lengthy arbitration process over who holds jurisdiction over Leicester, with the club bouncing between the Championship and Premier League in recent seasons.

A tribunal has now ruled the Premier League has the power to charge Leicester, who have been relegated from the top flight and will play in the Championship next season.

The timeline of the case should still come under the Premier League's 12-week fast-track process, meaning any possible points deduction, depending on the outcome of the case, could come in Leicester's season in the Championship in 2025-26.
But football finance expert Kieran Maguire told BBC Sport he believes it is unlikely a punishment would be imposed on Leicester while they are in the second tier because the Premier League and EFL are separate entities.
The independent commission will also assess two further alleged breaches by the Foxes; that they failed to provide accounts to the Premier League by 31 December, 2024, and that they did not "provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Premier League in response to the league's inquiries".

What were Leicester's losses?

Premier League clubs cannot lose more than £105m over three years but the figure is reduced by £22m for every season a club spends outside the top flight.

The first season Rochdale stayed up as the league never restarted after covid, so a points per game was awarded.

Following season they were relegated.

In a results business. They lost over 50 games! 30% win ratio

But remember that Barry-Murphy was well sought after following him leaving Rochdale.

Rochdale were doomed because they had no money and he performed a miracle to keep them up that long.

No but seems like it's all done.

Club announcement often late because they have to do pictures/interview.

Yes and I am one of them

Remember Riza was taking us to the Premier League

And how about the other 10 managers who were going to be very successful.

It’s great we finally got a good lower division manager who looks like he will succeed.

But No wonder fans had doubts including myself after all the previous failures

People throw that back at me when they have no decent argument.

At least I admit when I'm wrong, others don't.

Ned,

So you knew 100% that BBM would do do well this far?

Plus the season is not over and unless he gets us promoted he will be deemed a failure.

Plus I want him to take us up
As to next season????

Most on this forum were pretty p.ssed off with the the way things had gone under riza i seem to remember there possibly 1 or 2 who were happy with riza been at the helm.
But that's why there was much scepticism about murphys appountment especially after the season we had previous and there was no investment for this new manager the team, and squad was ripped to threads so who could envisage what could happen there were protest in the streets about it all.
I for 1 was not happy with a rookie managers after what we had previously, but have been pleased to be proved wrong for obvious reasons as with most fans .
As I have said in previous posts on other topics I think only a few again were right about murphy worcester been the most vocal, and have said hats of to him for been right on other posts, but more luck than judgement I would suggest, but some you get right some you get wrong as with blind faith with riza so if posters are digging up previous posts from the past to gloat and point score, just remember we have all got things right and wrong, including myself and probably most on the forum at some point.
PS
Looking forward to Saturday if I can get over the snow in the brecon beacons.

Exactly Monty,

Same trio trying to belittle others yet we are not even promoted yet

Why has this topic been brought back up ????

Re: CONFIRMED " BRIAN BARRY-MURPHY / LEICESTER HAPPY

As I have said a while back. Murphy is doing everything expected of him there’s not much more he can do wrong. He can only be judged on what he’s got, which is a really good squad in a very poor league. Next season we will really see what potential we have under him when things will be much more competitive. I really don’t know how he do one day I think we be really competitive in the league then other days thinking we will survive but no more than mid table.
For definite we will have to wait to find out next season, but as it stands Murphy gets a 10 out of 10.

We can all enjoy the ride on the way, which is what football about from the smallest to biggest clubs.

Very strange bringing it back up isn't it but I'm not surprised. Point scoring taken to another level.

Atleast it beats Neds one in ten thousand transfer 100 percent cert threads.

Everyone is glad we are doing better than expected obviously otherwise we wouldnt be on the forum surely unless your a jack to wind people up but let's be honest most had never even seen BBM name before he come here so most went off that thinking. A few signings and we could push on hopefully :bluescarf:
