Been a good show against a quality team. Certainly haven’t been embarrassed which could easily have happened.

It’s the difference in quality though to be fair.

Asensio has won multiple honours for Real Madrid, and is a £50+ million footballer, Rashford is a £50 million + player, Tielemans, McGinn, Watkins etc etc.

This is Villa’s first team. No shame in this, especially with all our injuries.
Time to focus on league now.

Decent performance tonight and a few youngsters getting minutes. Have to be honest feared the worst when I saw villa starting lineup. Thought we battled hard and caused a couple of moments of fear for them but not to be. Certainly not disgraced and confidence not lost. Well done to the travelling fans and the lads who played certainly no shame in it.

I'm big critic of his subs said do on several other occasions but tonight he's got set up right and used subs at right time .. just can't compete with the talent villa put out..

Just an observation for a counter attack you usually need pace and we had none in the front 3 to start you could argue Salech adds more movement but isn't exactly rapid.

When we went one down especially
We needed at least Davies or Ashford on to give them a threat in behind.

Villa 15 games unbeaten at home so hardly surprising we've struggled to break them down? Better teams than us have failed
