Bloody hell some right pearlers on here. From the person who loves this new way of living now the “new normal” to knowing three people that have died of Covid and if it’s true ( I doubt it) I’m glad I don’t know him the most dangerous man to know in the U.K.
Then the person who says that if you don’t have the vaccine you should forfeit your right to be treated within the NHS !!
Wow I wonder if he ever smoked or taken drugs or drank alcohol and I would assume with his attitude he is not overweight either ?
But what does it matter to those that take the vaccine ? They will be safe so why they worried about the person that refuses ?
I’ve seen some compliant sheep in my time but some on here take the biscuit.
And the person who thinks I get my info off Facebook ? Ohh give me a break I think for myself I do my own research and I can tell bullshit when I see it.
Some of the recent comments on here just made me laugh first then I shake my head lol

You consider me the most dangerous man to know isn’t that at odds with your beliefs on COVID? Make you mind up mate it’s very confusing.

You are the same people who laud our valiant servicemen for their achievements on D Day and beyond. Those poor Souls will be turning in their graves looking at us lot now and think "Why did I even bother"!!!

It is one thing to realise what is going on but it is quite another to directly push back against it.

So you have 'realised' the MSM narrative is misleading, well done. Have you pushed back against it?

I very much doubt you have (because it would be a very difficult and dangerous thing to do). Therefore you have to accept that whilst you can claim to be not a full sheep you still accept the narrative and go along with the rules the same as everyone else.

Ohh where should I get the info from the BBC ? Yes I copied and pasted part of it not all of it and added my own. Because what he said summed up exactly my thoughts. But it’s the message and the story I was getting across.
And yes he has been accurate in everything else. Tells it as it is and that’s where people get upset that if you have a different view it’s got to be fake.
By all means get your info from politicians and the MSM but you are being fed BS. I know first hand in some of my protests in London how the MSM lie through their scummy teeth. It’s all about agendas to them.
But yes on both sides of the fence I have to see what is truth and fiction.
Unfortunately some of the fiction reported even on the truth tellers can hinder those that try to expose the truth. And also filtering out the real conspiracy theories that are complete nonsense ie regarding the safety of 5G.
And the chips going in these vaccines don’t help. For me I have no idea what’s in them. Are they safe I don’t know that but it makes me suspicious when they have removed the liability clause and that tells me they have no idea of side effects or safety.
Not conspiracy I’m just using a bit of common on this.
But I guess for most of you no matter what source I come with because it won’t fit your agenda or not MSM then you will tell me it’s just far right etc etc.

Surly it is reasonable to accept that there are thousands of small business owners who will go to the wall due to Covid restrictions?

The man in the picture may or may not be one of those people but for sure they are out there never mind who is giving out the news.

Statistically the chance of you knowing four people who died directly of Covid is 575 times less likely than you getting hit by lightning.

Thats pretty damn unlucky

For the average member of public maybe.

Sorry 007 didn't mean to blow your cover.

Assuming the people you knew that died directly with Covid, with no co-morbidity were from Wales that would mean statistically you would have known 3% of all welsh people who died directly from Covid.

Whatever you do don't break a mirror or walk under a ladder and for the love of God avoid any and all black cats or you might end up triggering a third wave.

Having comorobidities doesn't mean it's not deadly. Most deaths list multiple reasons.
On average heart failure comes with 4+ comorbidities.
Look at the amount of people who die solely of one thing: cancer, dementia, flu, and it's miniscule compared to total.

Well you could argue that someone who doesn't believe information for no other reason than who provided it has a closed mind.

I prefer to give everyone a chance to voice their opinion and then make up my mind. I never dismiss opinion before I read it based on who is posting it.

I think I have agreed and disagreed with just about every poster at sometime or other.

Of course that doesn't mean I'm right or wrong it just means I have an open mind.

The video was very informative.

I would agree with the fella that the 6% which listed only Covid on the death certificate was not an accurate reflection of the true figure of Covid deaths. His argument that in certain co-mobilities Covid must have been an aggravating factor is true (respiratory, flu, Pneumonia, diabetes etc) and it is right and proper that Covid should be included in the death count.

However, he made a classic mistake of trying to link the excess death count over and above the normal for the year to Covid. No doubt there has been a higher death rate than in previous years but that doesn't mean all those deaths were due to Covid.

Many of those deaths were due to patients not getting diagnosis or treatment for various conditions (cancer, heart attacks strokes etc.) due to health services being diverted to cope with the Covid surge. I would also speculate that the suicide rate is far high this year than any previous year although I don't have any figures.

What is strange is that most of the people are against lockdowns are the same people who are dead set against taking a vaccine to try and end the measures?

For me at least mate as I won't speak for anyone else, its about more than simple wealth.

It is about having the freedom to stand on your own two feet, to make something that you are proud of and to be reliant on nothing other than your own endeavour.

That is where the parallel lies for me with the vaccine. It is about having the most basic of freedoms taken away, I.e. the freedom to choose what is best for me.

As I've said many times I'm not anti vaccination, my kids both had their jabs when they were babies and I've had many travel related vaccinations.

It is when people quite happily talk about restrictions on those that don't want it and mandatory vaccination (whether it be force or coercion it is mandatory) that it goes against my grain. It is the removal of autonomy and taking freedom of choice away that lies at the heart of my argument. Neither wealth nor any other metric is more important to me than liberty.

The same argument the goes for lockdowns, it is stripping away of our freedoms.

I guess some people would rather take a chance to live and die free and others (far more than I would ever imagined to be honest) would be happy living the rest of their lives in a gilded cage.

What I'm realising is that a lot more people fall into the latter camp and those that do don't really even understand the importance of the freedoms, the right to fail or succeed on your own merit, that others of us hold so sacred.

For those who cant understand that position, then being against both lockdowns and vaccines will, of course, seem entirely illogical. I can understand that.

Yey, for those of us who do value liberty as sacrosanct, lockdown and mandatory vaccination are two symptoms of the very same evil.

I'm not saying one side is wrong or right, just that the perspectives are coming from wildly different starting points

I'm not really sure what you are thinking here mate?

I don't think anyone thinks the vaccine should be compulsory?

As long as restrictions are lifted for people who have antibodies and/or vaccination certificates, I don't really mind, that would be my choice, not the governments?

Governments won't make me take it, I have a mate who is a doctor and my neighbour is a doctor as well, both are going to have a vaccine, and that's good enough for me!

Of course, there is a risk, but I would rate the risk of death or serious complications less from a vaccine than from catching covid, and the chance of passing it on to my 89 year old mother considerably less

The guys likely just trolling and looking for a bite.

It's official talk of detention camps for the unvaccinated like that coming out of New Zealand that I am concerned about. I would never have dreamt that the Prime Minister of New Zealand could so glibly and casually talk about locking up free citizens who have committed no crime indefinitely until this year.

https://youtu.be/1dCNDvvp9S4

While the case has already been put forward to the UK government (as a legal advisory position) of how to circumnavigate the human rights issue that mandatory vaccination poses. They may not take up this path, but it is worrying they have even sought out the legal position.

I think I said this to you before, but to be frank, I pray to God you are right on all this and I am wrong, but increasingly we seem to be sleepwalking into something far more concerning than the virus will ever be.

stickywicket wrote:I can't wait for the vaccine. Any fucker who doesn't have it (except for medical reasons) should be refused NHS treatment benefits travel and going to work if they catch covid. f**k em that's what I say.
Maybe there's one job they should be allowed to do. Hospital
Porter.

They may not take up this path, but it is worrying they have even sought out the legal position.

https://committees.parliament.uk/writte ... 9253/html/

I think I said this to you before, but to be frank, I pray to God you are right on all this and I am wrong, but increasingly we seem to be sleepwalking into something far more concerning than the virus will ever be.

I'd be over the moon to have got all this wrong though

That would be a completely different level, but I seriously doubt anything like that would actually happen here.

I've just seen Drakeford, he's worried the NHS won't cope, I can't stand him and think he is over-cautious, despite that he has little choice, at least he is taking measures not just locking down fully again.

Then he talks about vaccines and the future, how will he and Boris be able to lift restrictions if half the country won't take the vaccine?

I'm sure your business will survive and flourish when all this shit is over, in order for that to happen we need 80% of the public on board to make it happen, otherwise more businesses will fail and more people will die whether covid related or not

I'm sure we will be alright when people see the old and careworkers have protection with no serious effects, they will lighten their stance and consider having the vaccine. The government will be on the pro-vaccine propaganda charm offensive and that will help sway many that are currently saying they won't have one.

Therefore you have to accept that whilst you can claim to be not a full sheep you still accept the narrative and go along with the rules the same as everyone else.

not sure what your getting at.... like most things pushback starts with discussion which only then can lead to further pushback...
its a difficult one...there is no political party of worth taking a stance to get behind ...and what leaders / organisers there are are also on the extreme side which in effect makes life easy for the emotional blackmailers to then dis credit anyone that thinks its over exaggerated..an over reaction etc by lumping them in with the UFO weekly brigade...

These opposing views show there are no winners in this Health v Wealth situation, and this is the dilemma all governments face, how to try and keep economies going without overwhelming the health systems, and sadly there is no easy answer.

Like I say I hope truly your right and I appreciate the sentiments regarding my business.

But honestly, before this year would you have confidently said that the leader of New Zealand would openly come out and threaten to detain free citizens who have broken no laws indefinitely in such a casual manner?

This is New Zealand we are talking about, not some tin-pot dictatorship in South America or Africa. Australia doesn't seem to be too far behind either with what is going on in Victoria.

The world has changed massively since March 2020 and my faith in our democracy has been shaken to its very core.

Have you checked out the video mate? It doesn’t even come close to backing up your claims. From what I see it shows a big cry baby trying to look hard and when he pushed it to far he pulls on the water works. The police care for him. The police in this country show way to much restraint to idiots like this I would have cuffed him up taken him to custody put him on remand to give him something worth crying over. Oh and he should be charged for the wasting of. Police time and resources.

I’ve seen some whoppers in my time but this is even out doing you thread when you stated medical staff were murdering patients at the start of the virus. It be funny if it wasn’t so disturbing.

I don't know the man above but I assume like many other small business owners he was targeted with draconian closers and faced the £1000 per day fine if he didn't close which resulted in this business becoming defunct or loaded with unmanageable debt.

Business owners spent a fortune making their place of business Covid secure after the initial lockdown only to find they were forced to close again because of a lockdown by another name i.e. firebreak, tier 3.

We only have lockdowns because of a capacity issue with the NHS. Most hospitals run at nearly 90% of capacity at the best of times so when something like a flu outbreak occurs it won't take long for them to become overrun.

I hope that there will be recommendations to increase NHS capacity so when the next Covid hits we won't require lockdowns. But I'll believe that when I see or hear it.

Gove on BBC hinting that individual businesses can start admitting people with a vaccination passport/certificate, I always thought this was the way we would encourage people in the UK to take it, looks like this will happen?

It would probably work in Wales if you needed a vaccine to go to the pub, live football, rugby, airlines etc.
