The Club commits to reviewing policy at regular junctures over the coming weeks and months. Should government or governing body policy alter the intentions laid out in this statement, the Club will consider alternatives including the option of issuing pro-rata credits against future sales as recently undertaken for the 2019/20 season. Due to Govt law Cardiff City are being told they can not sell tickets to an event that at this moment in time or in the future dates that fans won’t be able to attend is illegal, so they can not sell tickets saying no refunds at all etc and have been advised to say the following:

Allan, it tells me how still amateur they are as a football club behind the scenes.

Annis it looks like a businessman decision not someone who knows football club? But surely mamet would have known or sort out clarification that they can do what they did?? Very strange thing to do without knowing if legal or not... but there again football clubs have got habit of doing/saying the wrong things at times.

Cardiff City vs Fulham and Swansea City vs Brentford play-off matches only on Sky Sports as club online streams turned off

Sky is the only place fans can watch the remaining games of the 2019/20 EFL season

By Ian Mitchelmore

Friday 24th July 2020

Sky Sports have the exclusive rights to show all five Championship play-off matches live on its platform.

Swansea City take on Brentford in the semi-finals while Cardiff City battle it out with Fulham over two legs.

But with fans still unable to attend fixtures owing to the coronavirus pandemic, their only option to watch the remainder of the 2019/20 campaign is by tuning in on Sky.

The broadcast giants will show all four semi-final ties while they will also have full coverage of the final at Wembley on August 4.

iFollow or equivalent streaming packages purchased by season ticket holders only included regular season games and not play-off fixtures.

As a result of Sky's deal, none of the play-off games will be shown live on SwansTV or CardiffCityTV.

Sky customers will be able to watch all of the play-off matches as normal, although for those without Sky subscriptions, your best one-off option is to buy a NOW TV pass.

A day pass costs £9.99 and offers access to all 11 Sky Sports channels.

Alternatively, monthly passes are available from £33.99.

The cheapest option, the Sky Sports Mobile Month Pass, is priced at £5.99.

If you've never used NOW TV before, you can access their Passes through iOS, Android, Chromecast, Windows, Mac, select LG and Samsung Smart TV's, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and various streaming devices like Apple TV and Roku TV.

You can also check out the various end-of-season package deals available on Sky at http://www.sky.com/shop/deals

The full play-off fixture dates and kick-off times are available below.

First legs

Swansea vs Brentford - Sunday, July 26, 6.30pm

Cardiff vs Fulham - Monday, July 27, 7.45pm

Second legs

Brentford vs Swansea - Wednesday, July 29, 7.45pm

Fulham vs Cardiff - Thursday, July 30, 7.45pm

Championship play-off final

Winner semi-final A vs Winner semi-final B - Tuesday August 4, 7.45pm at Wembley Stadium

Karl Mudd:

You have stated that fans will get a city cash refund (or equivalent) for games forced behind closed doors, yet there is nothing on the website I can find?

Is this official or something you are aware will be happening soon? This is the major sticking point for me and I am sure many others. I want to buy a ticket but not under the current advertised conditions.

Nukes / Steve Thomas:

After careful consideration I have decided not to renew my Season ticket at the City at this present time.
Looked at the pros and cons of renewing and in the end it wasn’t a hard choice to make.
PROS

I get to watch the football live again.

CONS

:Will miss the start as total ban likely to be in place.
: Capacity likely to be only 30% so only 10.000 fans in the stadium
: Last season 18.000 ST holders so who attends what games we watch will be decided by the club. And even then it might not be with family or friends.
: Likely to be an away fan ban, but if not then that 10.000 home fans will be less.
: Probability that masks will have to be worn.
:Social Distancing will have to be met in the stands.
: Toilets will be a nightmare.
: Abroad where fans are aloud back in the have to sit, no singing no shouting.
:Likely the pubs around the ground will be shut as they won’t be able to guarantee Social Distancing.
My reasons for going to the football were to escape the BS of life, work etc and to meet in the pubs with my mates, to pack into the canton and make a right racket.
What we are being offered isn’t the football experience I love about football,so I hope those that go can enjoy the experience it’s just not for me at this time.

If a club has a capacity of 30,000 Fans would see 1 in 3 games during a season.

VINCE ALM:

Cardiff City Supporters Club

UPDATED:

VINCE ALM:

Current seats, moving seats for next season, can I sit in my seat?

Received quite a few queries in regards to keeping seats and moving seats as above.

These are questions I asked the club last week on behalf of the supporters and supporters club when England announced fans maybe able to return to stadiums with a 30-50% capacity in October / Nov . Unfortunately the football club were not in a position or able to put any information out regards these key questions as they have to date received no guidance from Welsh Government and local authorities on capacity and what social distance measures need to be put in place.

There will be no refunds.

No refund message on Cardiff city website if a fixture is played behind closed doors and you do not want to have a streaming code or use one.

This has angered a lot of supporters since the announcement Monday and we totally sympathise with those feelings. We have received numerous message complaining about it and have taken it up with the football club since Monday for clarification.

We are hoping it is just a poor bit of PR as I am not sure it is legal if you cannot provide something you pay for and not have some sort of reimbursement option. Personally I think they should have at least be rolling over credit as a minimum for future tickets. I have spoken to some of the main people at the club and I am currently waiting for them to get back to me.

Hi Steve, I know it's no consolation mate but you won't be the only Cardiff fan who chooses not to renew for the reasons you've given. I am sure that lots of us, especially the oldies or fans with health issues, will have to give it a swerve until it's safer to attend.
