4. Petrol prices are rising and that is a fact, will this pay some back or is he planning on running all billionaires out of the country and then how will he be giving away all the free stuff.

In some ways I would live to see Labour win to be proven right... a bankrupt country

But I believe Boris will win

Wish I had your faith but I'm worried. A Corbyn election and a lot of private investment will cease overnight. I would say half my contracts in the first few months of next year are on the line. I was speaking to a left leaning Architect this morning and in her opinion it will get very bad, very quickly in the privately funded works sector. Public sector could flourish but some of the London Councils I deal waste £ 1 for every £ 2 they spend. That was when money was tight god knows what they'll be like with money being thrown at them. There's a lot of structural movement that needs sorting though so we may be okay for a year or two.

So what about families, who through no fault of their own (sickness, loss of a spouse) end up in need. What happens to them - split them up? Put the children in to care??

When you stupidly go off and vote Tory I hope you've got a big enough family to pay your healthcare bills.

Unfortunately plenty will vote for him on Thursday and we'll be stuck with his antiquated ways for years to come. Rees-Mogg will suddenly reappear on Friday after being kept silent for the last few weeks and Corbyn will be gone by the weekend.

Talking of being kept quiet, where is Labour's brilliant mathematician. Perhaps they are hoping we forget who might be Home Secretary in the unlikely event the country was actually stupid enough to vote for this Labour party.

The only people who keep denigrating the NHS are Corbyn and his dimwit acolytes, some of whom reside here. Generally the public think its a good service.

Corbyn is nothing more than a shouty tw*t. And that’s being generous.

When are labour supporters going to get it, people don't want to vote for corbyn because he is a c##t along with the rest of his front bench even if he had the best policy in the world, and they are not being democratic by not respecting the Brexit vote ,it amazes me the UK is known for being one of the most democratic places on earth ,yet labour ,lib undemocratic party ,SNP etc all think it's ok to go against a democratic vote you couldn't make it up .

As Farrage says our population has increased by 8m since Blair got in, 80% of which is due to economic migrants, so the U.K. have to build twice as many schools, hospitals, doctors surgeries and all the other infrastructure we have in Wales just to stop the system getting worse. Mass immigration is the problem yet Labour want another open door immigration policy, for the exact reason Blair and straw did, because they believed immigrants would vote Labour.

How gullible are you lot !!?? Don't you think that if this was fabricated that Boris and his Health Secretary would have pointed that out !!!???? They didn't, there was an in-fettered apology and a promise to invest to make things better.

The mum made up a bed so that the kid at least had somewhere to sleep.

I know we have to be careful in this age of fake news but for f$^*s sake, the NHS is in crisis. That is down to lack of investment from this government, the coalition and, albeit to a lesser extent, the previous Labour government.

Now if you believe Brexit or anything else is more important to the UK fair enough.

But believe me, if we end up with the NHS in such a state that we need private health insurance then you'd better hope that the economy (which is currently growing more slowly than the majority of competitor countries) goes through the roof to pay your double figure pay rises for the next 10 years to even get near to you being able to afford the Private Health insurance your going to need without the NHS.

To my mind the NHS is much more important than any Brexit or Remain argument.

It's just a matter of who you think can best protect it.

More Lies Politics

Tue Dec 10, 2019 1:13 pm

The Mail on Sunday (MoS) falsely claimed that Labour was planning to scrap a tax exemption on homeowners, in a prominent story that has since been used by the Conservatives as part of their election campaign.

The press regulator Ipso ruled that the newspaper’s reporting was inaccurate and “could cause significant concern to readers that, under a Labour government, they could be liable to pay a tax they are exempt from under current legislation”.

The MoS headline was then used in Conservative campaign literature and shared by Tory politicians on social media.

The story said Labour wanted “to scrap the capital gains tax exemption on main homes”, citing a report called Land for the Many, written for Labour by a group of academics and campaigners.

Contrary to the newspaper’s claims, the third-party report explicitly rejected proposals to scrap the capital gains tax exemption for main homes, and instead recommended an annual levy on any increase in value of a property.

The erroneous article was published in June, and the press regulator ruled on the inaccuracy in November. The MoS must now publish Ipso’s ruling on page 2 of its print edition and on the top half of its website for 24 hours. But because the paper sought a review of the process by which the decision was made, publication of the correction has been delayed until after the election.

The thing that puzzles me is how they could tell this particular piece of BS from all the rest of their stories. Still be taken as gospel on here though. :laughing6:

The NHS will be an ongoing problem that no government will come to terms with. We are all living longer and inevitably the older we are the more chance there is of needing NHS treatment. A new generation seem to think that casualty is the same as their local surgery. If you have a sneeze or a cough get yourself down to your local hospital. With the population also increasing, it is going to take some sort of complete overhaul if the NHS is ever going to function more efficiently than it is now. This is not a one party problem, the NHS in Wales is run by Labour and is probably even worse than the NHS in England. We will be complaining about this 50 years from now, if it still exists.

I agree with all of that but the pressure it’s currently under is, in the main, down to large scale immigration, like all of our public services it simply cannot cope with the volume. Corbyns intent is to increase immigration

DFI continues to outpace the Eurozone, imagine how well we’ll do once the crippling uncertainty has gone and we leave the disastrous EU.

SHE made a make shift bed and took a photo. thought it was Corbyn doing a NHS version of no seats on trains when you said the man is a c**t...sorry
the NHS is always desperation tactics by labour has always been. truth is the NHS has never ever had enough money no matter who is in power . as there will be more procedures more drugs and more patients nxt year and the year after and the year after that..

Doggy would you allow your child be put on floor at a hospital in real life like this? I certainly wouldn't ,
it's an appalling way to use a child for whatever reason. ;)

his mother admits that she made a make shift bed and took the photo.. nobody put him there except her...
normal mirror nonsense for the 1%

Really? The boy needed a hospital bed and his mother did what she could to make him comfortable and she took a photo,so feckin what.I know I would have too.I have to say even Matt Hancock looked shocked and did the right thing and apologised.I didn't think this election campaign could get any lower but Boris managed that easily.

I have no doubt youd 100% would do the same. me, id not be thinking about pictures or f*cking elections or the daily mirror...that's so f*cking what. I have zero photos of any of my family in hospital. zero. get it ?.. more important things on my mind...how odd is that..f@@ckin hell

It's just a matter of who you think can best protect it.

being in that situation without taking pictures is gullible..?
no mate I accept and have accepted that if there are genuine emergencies your possibly going to be put on hold no matter who is in government , that's what sane people do.
never seen the NHS as fair game as this year more money was spent and more people seen than in any previous year..i can tell you know that statement will not change next year under either party. or the year after...
yes politicians in the middle of an election campaign are compelled to act..
private health insurance..? not even Corbyn has said that....the SALE is about tablet supplies ffs and the redacted file { the unredacted version had been on line weeks and caused no furore } was a decoy..

Young voters are by and large totally gullible and have no concept of the dangers they will themselves face if they fall for the Utopia promised by their messiah McDonnell.

The Labour Party does not change its spots. Wilson, Healey and Brown all caused untold damage to the country’s economy.

McDonnell will do the same and even worse as he is intent on destroying capitalism and thereby the wealth of the nation which creates the taxes required to fund the state. The pound would fall sharply. Foreign investment would stop.

The slogan “for the many not the few” is misleading and laughable as everyone would suffer.

Voting for Labour or Lib Dem tactically would cost those naive voters a lot more than they think.

They should think like this: a 1% interest raise will add £1350 in just mortgage payments let alone other borrowing. It would increase inflation and unemployment.

McDonnells South American economic policy is ill conceived and so dangerous that i suspect the average Labour voter and prospective MP don’t realise the ruinous consequences McDonnell's insane commitments to spend vast fantastical amounts on nationalisation would be namely leaving the UK bankrupt.

Voters should think very carefully and unselfishly before committing the country to the crippling financial Armageddon awaiting them if these lunatics are put into Government.

Think on; it’ll be misery for the many not the few. That should be Comrade Corbyn’s slogan.

Sneggyblubird wrote:The Mail on Sunday (MoS) falsely claimed that Labour was planning to scrap a tax exemption on homeowners, in a prominent story that has since been used by the Conservatives as part of their election campaign.

:laughing6:

honestly ?
do you believe either party can or will deliver all their promises..?

its the most OTT election ever. ill give you free beer today followed by free beer and peanuts by the other party tomorrow.

why one particular claim should be singled out I don't know..

bottom line is people do not trust Boris... but trust Corbyn a lot less. one mis truth either way is neither here nor there.

I thought Sir Alan Sugars comments were interesting.
"Jeremy Corbyn has turned Labour into a negative anti business party that is clueless on how the economy works. His spending splurge is complete madness. "
That, from a life long Labour supporter , a labour peer, an arch remainer and although a leading Jew, it contained no reference to any anti Semitism concerns. So concerned of Labour's threat to the economy, he's urging voters to vote for Boris Johnson. As usual its not reported by the BBC, it doesn't fit the narrative.
The country wakes up on Friday morning with Corbyn as PM then so be it. The Youth will get the European country they want and in short time they'll get the youth unemployment to match.
