David and £3mill in costs, was it really worth it, in my opinion NO

Although we robbed Wolves of the £3 million to cover the legal costs, by selling Mason at that vastly over inflated price.

We also got Lawrence and Zohare on loan today. So it has been a good day all in all.

My mate in the office is a Wolves fan. He knows they've been mugged. Kenny Jackett is not a popular manager with the Wolves fans.

I believe once the £5mill is paid, Sams Director will leave.

I said it time and time again, just before a court case, Tan always ends up having to pay up.

Haven't read all the threads yet so this might have been brought up ,but I thought that if Sam admitted to being Langston then he would be in deep shit. Or is,nt that the case now.

I remember a conversation with Carl years ago.
He was convinced Sam wasn't Langston and I was convinced he was.

So obvious.

I hope the pro Sam posts can Fukk off now
And we all get behind

Been digging around the archive and found this piece from the BBC in 2009. Quite openly states that Langston is owned by Sam.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/footbal ... 416855.stm

So if it has now been confirmed what we always thought then would it be right to assume that Sam never had any equity in the club?

He took out loans from his own company and as of today has had them paid back to his satisfaction.

Seem a bit ballsy for us to call on Tan to do something Sam never did. At least with Tan we know it is money owed to him.

Tan has got what he wanted, he wanted everyone to know that sam was behind langston and citys longstanding debt. I dont think he will be too bothered with the £3 mil costs, thats pocket change to a man like him.

The sooner this club can cut all links with Hammam the better. I would'nt have bought a second hand car from him, much less a football club.

You may not have Annis but I'm sure Sam has denied on more than one occasion that he is Langston and that he is just their "representative".

More smoke and mirrors.

Sam is just a lier full stop and has used a lot of peoole to get money back hasn't lost a penny on Cardiff City ,he run up huge debts and nearly took us in to liquidation a few times how anyone can ever defend him I just don't know hope he has gone away for good now

THIS^^^^^^^

I hope Sam goes away and hopefully will never have to hear about him again

Annis, you seem to get a lot of pleasure from seeing tan pay even more money to hammam, ok you don't like him and that's your choice, but how anybody can defend hammam's part in this is beyond me, he (hammam = langston) originally only put £3 million into cardiff city, he then borrowed £24 million + intrest against the club from citybank, when the loan was called in he put us on the brink of liquidation all the time denying he was langston. So summing up he has done cardiff city for about £25 million profit over the years, and all along he was telling eveyone how much he "loved the club" ........my arse he did.

Sam has well and truely shown his true colours, only ever interested for the returns and he had the cheek to say he cared about the club. Wonder what reception Sam would get if he was seen at the stadium. He's lost every ounce of respect he had from me. Would have rather seen the club go bust than not get his money.

Well done Tan finally trying to rid us of Sam.

Wonder how much Sam and his companies made out of us in the end. When he leaves so does his debt.

It's good to know that when Sam was being so generous with his reckless spending that he knew that he would be getting his money back with interest.

There's a surprise it was a company run and owned by Sam hamman just how badly did he rip us off is the question??

The board ratified those loans so it sounds legitimate but who's to say a few back handers weren't offered for false loan notes to stick?

Glad it's done and dusted mind you

Forever Blue wrote:Plus £2 million if Cardiff ever reach the Premier League.

So in total Aporox another £7million

So Sam gets a payment within 30 days of about £5m at which point he loses his representative on the board Michael Filiou (plus the right to appoint anyone else) . So a decent result but about £2m less than he was claiming. The rest of the £2m being claimed only gets paid if and when we get promoted to the Premier - as unlikely as that seems at the moment , if it happens it would be a " win win" as the amount involved would only be 2% of the guaranteed Sky TV the club would get but also gives Sam a further substantial payment.

I presume that , as this was settled out of court, that each side will bear its own legal costs , so this has been an expensive exercise for both sides.

Disagree he finally got the Lebanese scumbag to admit he was Langston in public even though we all knew it that was his goal and he achieved it he probably couldn't give a flying f**k about the extra £2m we will have to fork out possibly at some point

Hamman should now be banned from any involvement in running football clubs ever again as how he lent the club money is prohibited and he's not a fit and proper person

The club's lawyer Christ Nott has just said on the radio that, while Sam remains for now as "honorary president" that is also going to be reviewed. That would mean the end of his formal links with the club apart from his 1% shareholding through Rudgwick. I am sure though that he will continue to take an interest as a fan.

Re: " THE BIGGEST DEAL DONE, FOR 10 YEARS FOR CARDIFF CITY "

Annis this is not a bad day for Tan at all. Their was never any question that Tan was going to pay this debt it was simply the fact that he wanted to know who the f**k Langston was.

To many fans it was clear who Langston was but nobody had any solid proof, so Tan being the way he is got to the bottom of that once and for all. You may seem to think the money Tan spent was silly but clearly he doesn't (You don't get to where Tan is by being a pushover).

I hope now that this Langston deal is over it only brings us positives, and Tan can start to fulfil his promise of debt to equity.

Also I think the reason Sam is staying on as a life fan (or what ever silly title he made up), and his rep is staying on the board is to make sure the debt is paid and once it has been paid they'll be kicked out.

Shame Sam never wrote this off,he professed his passion for the club and yet he took out exactly what he put in?
Did he also not get a salary each year?
I was gratefully to Sam for his involvement all those years ago,yet this now leaves a sour taste.
Shame he is just rated lower than tan.
