When will you people get it?... The CEO or above release the funds. The managers just ask for players.

People don't get it they don't even read half the stuff put up.

They think the Manager has a key to a door with a plaque on that says " VINNY TANS CASH STASH "

Then take whenever they feel like :laughing5:

Well Slade said we were like Real Madrid. So, this is what he really meant!!!!!!!!. Crazy, unbelievable. I thought I'd seen everything in the past 40years with our Club. But this is a shambles. Deluded, don't care and not a clue, that's Tan, Dalman and Choo

Wouldn't call O'Keefe a clown, we haven't seen him play to even build a judgement and I personally think he is someone who should be in the first 11.

On what basis can you suggest O'Keefe in the first 11? :?

He hasn't been a regular first teamer for any club in his career.

Cardiff City have been placed under a transfer embargo for the remainder of the transfer window for breaching Financial Fair Play rules.

The Bluebirds are the fourth Sky Bet Championship side to be placed under an embargo, following Bolton, Fulham and Nottingham Forest.

Cardiff will now be unable to bring in any new players before the window closes on February 1, although the club are considering an appeal.

So this is why Slade thinks we are like Real Madrid !!!!!! All those players out on loan will all be back this week. What a mess. Tan, Dalman and Choo don't care . Unbelievable

This is the question that needs to be answered because the Football League made a statement regarding clubs facing a transfer embargo on 24th December

http://www.football-league.co.uk/news/a ... 67176.aspx

Fulham, Forest and Bolton were placed under transfer embargos with "Further Discussions" with other clubs taking place and the FL would confirm any further embargos.

At this moment there is no statement from the FL regarding an embargo for Cardiff City so is there actually an embargo in place? Or is this smoke and mirrors from VT and his cronies.

Right. It's us against the world (well, the Football League anyway).

Now, more than ever, is the time to get behind the team. Slade is going nowhere now, so let's support him. We aren't the only team to get in this mess - Blackburn, Forest and QPR spring to mind. I saw somewhere that Leicester breached regulations in their promotion year and when in a couple of years time they get relegated they too will face FFP problems.

Compared to Bolton we are well off.

And so many of our supporters have been calling for our youngsters to be given a chance, perhaps now we can find out how good O'Sullivan, Oshilaja, John and Barnum-Bobb et al really are.

ITS NOT ALL DOOM AND GLOOM! Your team needs you now so stop moaning and start supporting! :sladein:

SPOT ON, BUT STILL TAN LOVERS STICK UO FOR HIM

Annis these people blaming managers for financial issues at the club are a joke. Managers manage the team and of they want funds they need to ask for them. They don't manage budgets and tend the books. The CEO's job is finance and tan takes ultimate responsibility for the running of the club from the bottom up because hes the boss man simple as.

Most sensible post on here.
Managers don't know the intricaties of the ffp rules. All they want to know is how much can they spend.
If the chairman says yes you have 10 million to spend this transfer window, they don't say 'hey I've spent the last two days reading about the ffp issue and thanks but I'll just spend the half mill this time'

It says on the ffp website that the accounts had to be in by December 1st and that any teams that fail to comply have a transfer ban from Jan 1st so I don't understand why we weren't mentioned when everyone else was or why it's taken until the 15th for something to be said? Have the club known since before the 1st or have the league fucked up?

This relates to last season and why there's uproar I don't know why do you think tan went on huge cost cutting excersize? It had nothing to do with slade, basically once promotion was out of reach we neede to balance books sharpish in order to comply it seems. Despite offloading a vast amount of players we still didn't cut enough money, goes to show just how much money we are over paying players and managers (ole £4m) and how badly we needed to bounce back up

I don't see this as a bad thing for January slade finishes the season out now new manager comes in has summer to see what he's got and offload more before bringing in some of his own

TopCat CCFC wrote:Cardiff City have been placed under a transfer embargo the Football League for breaching its financial fair play (FFP) regulation - scotching hopes of signing striker Tony Watt on a permanent deal.

The club says it is "extremely disappointed" in the Football League's decision, which bans them from buying players for the remainder of the transfer window, and is adamant it complied with FFP requirements for last season.

In a statement it said: "Having fully disclosed all matters in respect of our FFP position for 2014/15 and having taken independent expert advice, it is our firmly-held view that Cardiff City Football Club has indeed complied with the FFP requirements for season 2014/15 - contrary to the League’s position."

The Bluebirds will now seek further advice before deciding whether or not to appeal the ban.

Charlton striker Watt was expected to make his loan at the Cardiff City Stadium permanent this month, but will now head back to London to link up with the Addicks.

According to the South London Press, Charlton had hoped to raise up to £2m from the sale.

Cardiff are the fourth Championship club to be hit with FFP sanctions from the Football League this season, following Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Bolton who are all currently blocked from buying new players.

Meanwhile, Premier League Bournemouth could face a fine of up to £10m for breaking FFP rules during their promotion-winning campaign last season.

The Football League's FFP rules restricted Championship clubs to a maximum permitted loss of £6m last season.

I'll wait for the flack (hopefully it'll pass me by in the current turmoil) but we fans are a tiny part of the problem. We refused to buy season tickets and left in droves. We even refused to buy the red kit. Only a drop in the ocean but a part of it nevertheless.

More crucial to me is why did we just offload Jones. I despise him as a player but now we're in the shit up to our necks it seems strange that we got shot UNLESS the club really did do some maths and thought we were in the clear.

The embargo will be in place for the rest of the January transfer window and will see them lose out on a permanent deal for £1m target Tony Watt, although the Charlton striker’s loan deal could be extended after Cardiff’s visit to Wolves on Saturday.

Can we do that then? Hope so, is it because he was already here before the embargo?
