One of the arguments on here that tickled me was fans saying stuff like "if they ruin my enjoyment of the game i wont be happy" etc etc ....... these are the same people who stand up in the ninian stand week after week and argue with stewards game after game. During the premier league season nearly every game was ruined by the sound of stewards voices screaming right next to me for people in the rows around me for people to sit down. Did these people care about the thousands who just want to sit and watch the game? NO .... THEY DIDNT GIVE A TOSS!
This march to me is very important. I`m a father and to see kids being blown to bits by the israelis last year as left its mark on me and i feel the need to do something about it .... the argument that the kids were used as human shields doesnt wash with me because that excuse is just a bag of bollocks. Look at those little kids blown up on the beach.
I watched that show on the box the other week "the children of gaza" and believe me Israel hands are covered in blood. They are living like kings compared to the people of gaza who are completely surrounded and have no where to run.
To bring ISIS into the argument is a strange one because to me its a completely different argument.

The protests should be directed at far right Netanyahu, his government and fanatical Zionists and not ordinary Israeli people/Israeli football fans.

I don't think that anyone protesting peacefully next Sunday should be described as "racist" or "anti Semitic," providing they are opposing fanatical Zionism and not Jewish people per se.

While a demonstration of the nature outlined above is entirely legitimate, I do have concerns that this could all turn ugly and it could be infiltrated either by Islamic extremists or a well stewarded entirely peaceful protest could end up being confronted by right wing thugs.

Either way, the police/protest organisers/intelligence services will need to keep a tight grip on all this. I'm also sure that there are enough ISIS supporting scumbags in the UK who will see the visit of the Israeli national team to mainland UK as too good a chance to miss.

Agree totally, and back to the original point, it's possible to hate ISIS and wish to see them crushed and also think that the scumbags leading Israel at the moment need to realise that their treatment of the Palestinians is entirely disproportionate. If it takes protests, boycotts, sporting bans etc to change Israel's behaviour then surely that's a good thing, right?

To repeat an earlier point, the problem is not ordinary Israeli people and most of us who hate what Israel are currently doing aren't anti Semites or against the principle of the Jewish people having a safe and secure homeland. There are plenty of people in Israel itself and Jewish people internationally who are disgusted at what is being done in their name.
