Exactly, Wigan are nice and safe from relegation and have won a ton of home games :laughing6: :laughing6:

Yep, I mean since when does a league table tell you how good the manager is :laughing6:

I never rated malky as imo most managers would have got us up on what he was given so its no love in for me

If football was only about money and not any real management skills then the Premier League and Football League would look very different.

Malky was the best manager we've ever had in my opinion. :thumbright:

Made me laugh thought you were being serious but obviously you having a laugh right??

Not joking one bit, by far the best manager I've seen at Cardiff :thumbright:

I agree too!!
Waited over 50 yrs to get to the top flight and people slag him off??
What he has said or not said is irrelevent to me TBH, Fact is, he took us up, his style of football not to all's enjoyment, bot GOD was effective as the results proved, first half of prem season showed we were the 2nd best defensive side there, then shite happens and sack the guy when we are 6th from bottom and holding our own for survival, the rest is history.
Probs be another 50 yrs before we get there again (not in my lifetime)....

As an old soldier, i will use this phrase to any Manager, GIVE ME THE BULLETS TO FIRE MY GUN''
ROGER, OUT......... :ayatollah: :old:

Wigan were in shit when Malky took over so I don't see your point there :?
I'm not a Malky lover by any means but I know he is much better than Slade

So good he... Got Wigan relegated... Face it anyone thinking Malky is any good is:

A) Ignoring what he's like as a person (terrible).
B) Ignoring how bad large (but not all) aspects of him in the Prem were (specifically how he'd bottled it towards the end).
C) Ignoring how bad he was in the transfer market (very slow in the pre-prem summer and bought players that couldn't step up in the prem and players not good enough for the prem).
D) Ignoring his role in the rebrand.

Was he all bad? No the early part of his reign, he played some decent attacking football and was able to keep a squad together to win the league. But he was the architect of his own downfall and he deserved nothing more.

Complete and utter tosh.

He had 50 million bullets to fire and he spent money of them on rubbish. Second best defence is tosh and I don't even think we were 6th from bottom we were lower than that and heading only one way fast.

Up to and including Southampton we were shipping in exactly 1.556 goals per game on mean average. (28 goals in 18 games)
We were scoring (again, on average) exactly 0.667 goals per game (12 goals in 18 games)
We lost exactly 50% (9 of 18)
we won exactly 22.3% (4 of 18)
We drew 27.7 (5 of 18)

Please tell me again how excellent Malky was as a manager... if your rose tinted glasses are to be believed I'll have to ask a P.I. to do some serious digging to find out what went on to make the media and club report such bad results...

Were 16th so fifth from bottom and one point off the relegation places after the southampton result (3 nil loss). Only heading one way too.

Of all the teams who spent 8.5 million on a useless striker we had the top 5 goals scored record.

Down and out. He bottled it, totally and utterly. Crap football and getting crap results. Constantly slated for boring and poor performances and he set us on the road back down to the championship.

Our fans were turning against him, that's the only reason Tan could get rid of him (he said himself in an interview the only reason he didn't fire him sooner was because the fans loved him... but when the fans turned they made it easy to give him the heave ho)

never staying up under malky we had shot our bolt late november early december

The loss Of Malky followed by our sharp and continuing decline represents the saddest time for me in the 55 years I have supported Cardiff City .

Pretty sure Malky was still here and started off our "sharp and continuing decline"

Maybe so. But OGS made a pretty good job of carrying it on.

Nobody would say a word against that... but this thread's not about Ole, it's about how utterly tosh malky "ooof foreign falsies" mackay is
