I wouldn't think there can be many people who followed us during the bad the bad times who want anything to do with red. They have been around long enough to value our history, and what this club is all about.
I Have supported the City through thick and ( mostly ) thin since 1959. And I voted "NO"
Well you've been supporting this club 7 years longer than I have, and I am surprised that you can't understand why some of us feel so strongly about our identity. You've spent 50 years watching some of our great players (and some really useless ones as well) play in blue. We are called the bluebirds, and we've always been blue until a person from half way around the world who knows nothing about football, nothing of our heritage, and nothing about the culture of Welsh people decides to change us to red. Chairmen and owners come and go, you've certainly seen a few, but us fans are the one constant as far as the club is concerned. We were here before Tan, and we'll be here long after he's gone. The least he can do is show a bit of respect to the long history of the club, and to the supporters who pump their hard earned wages into the club year after year. You pay your money the same as everyone else, and you are entitled to your opinion. I have nothing personal against those who wear red, they are perfectly entitled to do so. I just don't understand them, particularly the ones who were around when we thought 5,000 was a good crowd.
This is an acceptable response and you pose some good questions. Although I would prefer blue to red, I think of my club as being Cardiff City rather than the Bluebirds, which after all is a nickname. When I saw the City cinch promotion in 1960 they played in white against Aston villa at home. When they played Portsmouth in the FA cup final they played in black. I desperately wanted us to win both games, shirt colour simply did not come into it. Now if Tan changed our name that would be a different matter entirely. In that case, not only would I stop going to games but I wouldn't even bother to check the results.

Chris,
Every time we want to protest,we either hear its to late or what will it achieve, thats just looking back all the time and with that attitude thats why our fans have not all risen up. Also it gives us fans a sense of pride again![]()

100% agree with that, if we want our identity (basically our club) back, then fans need to stop looking back and instead come together and fight for our club.
The club I force myself to follow right now is an insult to the Cardiff City I grew up watching.

I think the walk out of the stands at 19.27 could be a good idea, it gets everyone who feels strongly about it in one place, under the stand where everyone will no doubt all start chanting, under the stands will make a hell of a noise and if we get a few videos, it will make a big impression on You Tube, plus it makes an impression in the stands and possibly on TVwith numbers heading downstairs on mass
