I'll answer the second question first, coz it's easy:

what Cardiff City gained from the re-brand was its own survival plus a massive investment of money which brought it PL football, a bigger stadium, new training ground, etc.

As for 'What were the benefits of the Rebrand for Cardiff City? ' Well, the short-term benefits are already obvious: we're still here, we're competitive, we play in the second highest league. The long-term benefits will only be apparent when/if we're successful in the PL and get positive international exposure. Then, our colour and symbol will make it a little bit easier to tap into the huge Chinese / south east Asian markets.

Hope that answers your questions
