So Who else was willing to lend us the money to keep the club going?Whether you like Tan or loathe him, Cardiff City would have gone down the pan a few years ago had he not stepped in.
I don't like the Red though!!
Sometimes on this site it's the blind leading the blind!
Another thing, Annis, were you not one of the "fans representatives" who accepted the rebrand for the cash??

If it wasn't so ridiculous, one could almost believe there is someone out there who hopes that if Mr Tan decide to cut his losses, he could buy the club on the cheap and a little help along the way from a sustained anti-Tan campaign would be helpful.

The attitudes of Cardiff fans is insane. Do you think Huw Jenkins is a billionaire then steve?
The job of an owner should be to spend the clubs money wisely not loan the club his own.
Ive given countless credible scenarios once Tan leaves. Its not a mind bending business plan.
(Oh and you never apologised for your accusation i was using a multi the other day, expected better from you.)
Well whoever comes in has to be pretty rich if they want to buy out Tan and invest in assets seeing as we won't have any
They simply have to have enough to buy Tans shares. That could be £15m between a consortium, niwhere near billionaires and barely multi millionaires.
You will have plenty of assets to be competitive. Swansea went from league 2 to the Premier League in a decade. Did we ever have a billionaire?
You will have an infinate amount of assets comparedto what we did when we were taken over.

I've never made it personal so don't start now annis, just try answering the question. I'm asking you for evidence to a statement you've made where you've said that Tan said we'd be debt free in days, can you back it up? There's nothing personal in that statement, I'm just asking for proof.

Well said.
Tan is the reason for all our clubs current problems. He could have been the solution. However his warped red ideology/superstition/lunacy has ripped the heart out of a once proud club.
Next season I shall make the journey from home to cardiff (5 hour round trip) with my boys but it will only be to 2-3 games. I shall do the away games where we will play in blue as at least then I can identify with the club I have supported for 34 seasons.

The only people who consider us a laughing stock are the die-hard former football criminals who hanker back to the good old days ( which were crap and scary for most of us who were there in the 70-90s).
I think perhaps we should close this board down and stay at home on a Saturday afternoon or go shopping with the missus.
I, for one, will be cheering on my team, in whatever colour they are playing in, in whatever league they are playing in, and whatever they are called.
The rest of the moaners should put their money where their mouth is and go off to form the FC Bluebirds of Cardiff

That could be a collaborate of someone. But it would only work if the club are devaluated enough for the collaborators to sustain the dept and the assets are big enough to carry them.Roath_Magic_ wrote:CjBluebird17 wrote:Roath_Magic_ wrote:Why do you need a billionaire to take over?![]()

I will ignore the roath jerky piece other than to say that with investment, CCFC are a much better long term proposition than the jerks and as well as buying the share capital, the buyer would have to somehow take on the debt*.But of course a canny buyer (probably with a consortium)would be looking to deal at a forced sale price if he could engineer it and that is why a sustained and effective anti-Tan campaign might be welcomed or even encouraged and directed by such a schemer if such a thing could be organised. He would even promise to turn back to blue and be welcomed with flags at the main entrance! An early compromise on the kit by Mr Tan might therefore shoot that particular fox. Also early promotion to the PL would also kill the chances of a deal.
(* so I'm thinking that full debt to equity conversion would help the buyer hence a clever campaign might try to pressure Mr Tan to make a full conversion asap (as it is I think he's recently said he's going to convert another £50M).

May not have said 'days' but this is from Tans mouth himself in August 2013....
“We are in the process,”.
“We would like to resolve some of the shareholders first."
“In the next couple of months the club will be debt-free, God willing.”
Based on this, I can only imagine that he will now blame God himself for not backing up his word.... Brilliant

I honestly cant still get my head around it that Tan still has his lovers/followers after all he has done to our club, ripped it apart, destroyed the heart of it,divided it that we feel no pride,£150 mill in debt, a laughing stock in the media and around the world, fans so fed up with Tans circus, some even blaming everyone else in the club but Tan, yet Tan is without doubt 100% in control of everything and has the final say,no matter what and has done from day one including sacking 3 CEO's in less than 2 years.
I cant believe some of the posts on here in support of Tan, but thats their opinions, I am shocked/stunned,but I suppose some dont want to see the truth.
Even some of the ardent fans like Steve Davies,Carl Curtis, Gary aka Castleblue, who have from day one given Tan the benefit of the doubt,no longer have any respect for him.
10,000 less fans next season(that speaks volumes) and No identity,
And guess what were back in the Championship.
Was it really all worth it?
For me 100% DEF NOT
