Sorry but it's Blue and that's where the similarity ends, it's not got our traditional badge so I will continue to wear tops "that are Cardiff City shirts"

You go on about Tan changing our badge so why should we accept another made up badge, just a money making machine for someone. You've all got original "BLUE" shirts so wear those if you want to make a statement, not lining someone's pocket..........

To be fair £5 goes to Ty Hafan so there's more to it than lining someone's pocket. And the Bluebird is the same design as one used by City in the 1970s.

5% goes to Ty Hafan, the money raised is pumped into the Supporters Trust, a representative of the club. What is so wrong about that? :?

Have you thought about copyright as well? You can't just throw a club badge on something, the trust OWN this badge

Will the supporters trust be offering some sort of trust membership deal for those who buy the shirts (eg buy a shirt get half price membership ) could boost the trusts numbers

just email the Trust and ask - I only pay £12 a year mind, so not a huge amount

I'll be buying a shirt, hope it is the blue/white one but whatever it is, think it is a good idea, especially with £5 going to Ty Hafan.

£5 goes to Ty Hafan , not 5% (so considerably more), the money being donated direct by Kukri the manufacturer of the shirt for every one sold.

No money goes to the Trust.

No.

The idea of the Trust promoting the shirt launch and giving it its full support is twofold.

1) to give fans a chance to buy a quality product in a colour and style of their choice at a very good price

2) to raise money for an excellent cause in doing so

If the profile of the Trust is raised by the above , leading to more members then the Trust board will be delighted , but the above aims are more important

As someone else has pointed out in this thread , membership of the Trust is only £12 a year (payable at £1 a month) anyway , so shouldn`t be a financial deterrent to anyone wishing to join.

good for you Darran  - I'm a member, don't do anything formally, but thought it was my little way of contributing and I shouldn't complain about it if I wasn't in it.

The more of us in, the better it ought to be.

Really, what's so ridiculous about a fact that I've stated, I think you need to read my post again or shall I put it in simple terms for people like you to understand

1. It's Blue
2. It's not Cardiff's original badge
3. This shirt will never be worn by a Cardiff City player on our pitch
4. Tan created a Home RED shirt that's not seen as ours
5. Tan created a badge that's not seen as ours

This shirt represents all of the above

3. Neither does the casual wear the club offer but that has the badge on it
4. ???
5.????

What don't you get, it has a Cardiff Bluebird on it, the closest badge we can get to it, the money goes to a sportsmaker and part of it goes to a Welsh charity. Who cares if it's not an official kit. The whole concept is a type of protest, by buying a Cardiff shirt not made by the club. That way people can feel up to date/modernised AND protest from buying from the club itself.
