My god there are so many Racists out there !!

Can someone answer me a very serious question that has been baffling me for years, I pride myself as not having a racist bone in my body, or do I? I have traveled the world working all my life and something that irks me is this: I am born in Britain and overseas I am called a "Brit" why the hell is a Pakistani person , in fact most of the World thinks "Paki" is racist?

it has historically negatice conatations. for instance, it's unlikley people in other countries had institutionalised elitism which spouted in phrases such as:

"get out of my country you smelly f*cking brit!"

however, in our country, "paki" was originally used as an insult (and wasn't just used against pakistanis, but all middle eastern peaople) and as such still carries those conatations today. much the same as "Nigger" is short for negro, and i doubt you'd be calling anyone that in a hurry in this day and age

in the english council elections (the ones most closely related to internal governance in the GE) labour won the most votes. Ukip got 17% (they currently have less seats than the Green party) and only beat a LibDem party in crisis. and failed to win a single council.

now I'm sure you'll come back with how will they did in the EU elections right?

that may be true. but that shows the vast majority of people in england decided they wanted UKIP in europe (where they cant make a difference...smells like a protest vote to me) but DIDNT want them in their own councils and instead opted for labour, tory or green over them.
