Every conversation with you is strange since you never answer a straight question, albeit because you know by doing so will contradict yourself :laughing6:

I grasp it entirely. If you agreed with my notion initially then you would be within your conversational rights to now discuss it after the WBA game. You however said it was irrelevant and dismissed it.

To then wish to discuss it after the fact is also now a bit pointless.

Litigants is the word they use to describe that :laughing6:

So we know what I think and that hasn't changed from the outset. But what do you think?
In your opinion is it fair to judge monks points:game ratio against other swans PL managers at this early stage? After 4 games you were adamant it was, do you feel the same way now after 5?

it is not about fairness it is just about facts. You can compare anything to anything. Right now Monk's points per game ratio is the same as Laudrup managed with this squad, and he is our most successful manager in recent times, possibly of all time.

Signs are good.

Re: Bubbles bursting...complete domination

All you've done is slate Laudrup for the past few months Roathie, so how can signs be good if he's getting similar results?

Because our football is showing signs of getting back to the way it was. In a transitional period like this, to keep the record of the previous incumbent who I am certain would have kept us up anyway while showing intent rather than passive reactive football - that is very encouraging indeed.

By your logic if you disagree with a point of view then you can no longer discuss it. Yet that applies to 99.9% of your posts.
Threads would be very brief indeed. I think this, you think that, over in 2 posts.

It was you that stated you had to compare the whole tenure of a managerial stint, yet now you're only using laudrups record this season. Therefore admitting that your initial stance was indeed nonsense and that I was right

Banged to rights roathie :laughing6:

4 PL games? How does his first 4 games compare to laudrups first 4 PL games?

Makes no difference. The most accurate thing we can go on is judging their complete tenure and not just parts of them, as parts of them can be manipula on every game they have ever managed Swansea in the Prem.

And here's the post where you said it

thats not my logic at all. I gave a statistic and you said it was pointless, irrelevant and didnt show anything. So you now wanting to discuss it one match later is pointless, if you felt the discussion was pointless then, then its pointless now.

If you disagreed with the conclusion but agreed that the stat was relevant then you would have every right to now want to discuss the updated version of that stat. Unfortunately you are trying to have your cake and eat it and the fact im not allowing you is grinding your gears :D

Grinding my gears? I'm laughing at you squirming

You forget my stance isn't up for debate. It's consistent. I'm asking you what yours is
So which is right? Comparing laudrup with monk this season or the whole tenure? Is is even a fair comparison in YOUR mind? Have you made your mind up yet?

Nobody is falling for your attempts to deflect from very simple questions.

You have said it is pointless so any conversation 1 game later is the same according to you. Whats the point in having a pointless conversation :D

dont have to fall for anything. You said it was a pointless discussion before the wba game, so it means your question is indeed pointless.

So you don't think its relevant then?

So that then means your question is irrelevant.

Like I said you cant have your cake and eat it. If you didnt wish to discuss it with a dismissive tone prior to the WBA match the you must expect the same treatment after it. Not cake and eating on my watch carps :thumbright:

After I dismissed the comparison as nonsense you continued to argue your viewpoint for many posts before the WBA game.
Seems I was having my cake and eating it on your watch then roath. Gorged on it in fact :laughing6:

Now all I ask is whether YOU still feel the comparison is just? Before you stated you had to compare a managers full tenure, now it's ok to compare only part of Laudrups. I take it then you agree with my posts before the WBA game?

that makes no sense. Having your cake and eating it is dismissing an opinion for its basis and then wanting to use the same basis the very next game. Not on my watch pal

Ahem, exuse me butting in.you never answered me roath, regards what in the way of RESULTS had your scintallating total dominance football got you? I've not waivered from my opinion. What is your opinion and how many times has it changed today?

Here's some of your quotes to help you

"When comparing managers in the Premier League then you compare everything you have to go on. When comparing every match every Prem Swans manager has been in charge of - Garry Monk has the highest points oer game ratio"

"Whether it interests you isnt really the point. You can compare anything to anything, the more whole the comparison the more accurate it becomes"

Do you stand by your assertions above?
