Im sure he does.He actually makes a decent point though, although he clearly put it in a way to annoy you rather than have a debate.
Ive made the point several times myself. The issue is in your fan base, im sure you have all by now heard my "sams disease" theory and in fact it is displayed on this thread in its droves.
There is an innate need to be seen to be bigger and better than what you are. Its a main reason why Tans rebrand was accepted so readily. Upon promotion, i heard lots of ridiculous things. European qualification, winning major trophies, next chelsea etc etc etc
Expectations need to be managed at the club, some realism needs to be brought in and some acceptance of the situation. There is always a blame game. This is why your fan base is split, half of the people love the kudos of the prem and clinging onto any hope that Tans loan notes will turn you into some big club, this is why not everyone can unite in ousting the parasite.

Nope. PSG never never were happy with being a modest club until one owner came in and changed their mentality to a state where they put success ahead of the club.

PSG had done nothing before the Qatar owners took over though? They were an average club who potentially could have been huge. Now the dream is being realised with the right owners in charge. Now they are expected to perform well and reach the latter stages of the champions league, what's the difference? We are similar in a way on a smaller scale. A one club capital football club with a potential to be a big side. For all the flaws Sam had like I said, his observations were spot on about the potential.

PSG have always been a big club. You hadn't been in the top flight for half a century and had major delusions of grandeur.
They expect to do well due to them being the best and richest club in france.

Yes but the point I am making is that before the Qatar ownership they were a mid table side, they even flirted with relegation in 2008 I believe, the Qataris have taken over and totally changed the ethos of the club, transforming them into one of the top teams in Europe. Paris Saint Germain are a relatively new club (formed in '72)who were playing catchup with Marseille and St Etienne, they had to build into a big club over a short period. If anything they're fanbase is two generations old at the very most. Why can't Cardiff as a club build over a period and want to be competing with the best?

Mid table in the top league though. Man City are the same. But neither compare to the situation at Cardiff.
Cardiff is a small club in South Wales with a pretty non existent history compared to the delusions of the fans. It is unthinkable a club with 4,000 attendances in the bottom league who hadnt dined at the top table for as long as many of the fans were alive to consider themselves one of the big boys - which clearly was the case.
Nothing is good enough anymore and it is wanted in an instant. You had a chance to firesale to get out of debt but instead decided to sell yourselves to Tan and threw in the heritage of the club to boot to ensure you got more loans - that the club couldn't bare on its own in order to keep up with Swansea and feed the appetites of the greedy fans who lost all sense of perspective.
You arent going to agree because you are a cardiff fan. Im telling you how everyone else sees the situation - its ugly.

It was a plan to get to the premier league long before Swansea were in the championship, a run of poor decision making and bad spending had put us in this mess, but to say it is the fault of Cardiff fans for the appetite of premier league football is slightly wrong, it's the way football is now. Like you've mentioned before; modern football is a money orientated disease where clubs are expected to perform unrealistically well. I wouldn't say it's just Cardiff's problem, it's every club in the premier league. Even your own club booed off Swansea when they drew against Hull 100% fact. It's just the way football is now. It's unrelenting and driven by money. If you perform well, then you gain the rewards, if you lose a few games panic takes hold, managers are sacked and more often than not, the club suffers as a result. You can get fortunate as in your case with monk, but in other cases it doesn't work out. It's the nature of the beast.

The club has grown unrecognisably and now we are starting to see the potential that was spoken about in the past. Let's not forget before your specific stat of 4,000 crowds in the 90s Cardiff regularly attracted 50+ in the 50s and 60s, even in the 70s we were still getting large crowds, so to say Cardiff is a small club is slightly wide of the mark and shows a bit of bias on your part. I wouldn't be surprised in the future if growth continues the way it has and with potential, sustained premier league football, to average 30 plus.

everything you dont wish to accept you label as "biased". Nathan Blake made the exact point on the phone in last week, is he biased too? Many cardiff fans have also said so on here, they biased?
I blame the fans because of their thirst for success, there is pressure to spend more and more. An example is when we were both in the running for Tom Ince, Swansea fans were of the opinion £8m is too much lets pull out - Cardiff fans were of the opinion "we have blown everyone out of the water whahoo!"
Tan released a statement saying the rebrand will not go ahead - the fans revolt and beg him to change the club in exchange for cash - so he did.

So because Nathan Blake said it, it means that it's true does it?fair play Roath, re-read some of your posts, it absolutely stinks of Cardiff bitterness. Constant snipes all the time at the club and fans, why do you care? Tom Ince is irrelevant as he turned down both clubs. What's wrong with fans wanting success? It's what a fan wants for his club, is it not?

So all else fails lets try the personal attack route![]()
My posts scream honesty and calling the situations as they are, probably a reason why BBC Sport Wales has asked for me to write for them, a Cardiff orientated organisation![]()
Like I said if you feel you have to make stuff up to justify your ignorance then far be it for me to discourage you you.
(Id love to know what I'm bitter about though - maybe i wish we swapped positions and it was indeed us in the relegation zone playing in foreign colours with a split fan base and £130m debt hanging over my club? This debt free last 32 of Europe, sexy football, mid table lark is boring i guess)
