Zahas end product is poor most of the time, you can see why Moyes never selected him.

Colour of shirt irrelavent,we lack quality in the final third, been entertaining but to be honest if we score, who wants a replay?? Zaha's final ball in is dire! Ah well at least we can say we went out to the cup holders! Back to the business of survival!

We are awful... Cannot score for a change... Depressing watching it... Wigan could have scored 1 or 2 more but we never looked likely...

We looked like a championship team today, and not a very good one at that.

Seriously? Daehli was the only player making anything happen. Takes players on and some of his passing in the box was superb. Only positives from this game were Daehli and Cala.

Result: Wigan Athletic stun Cardiff City to progress in FA Cup

Wigan Athletic have upset Cardiff City to secure their spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The home side started well and Kevin Theophile-Catherine's cross was just too strong for Jo Inge Berget.
However, the first sight of goal was for Wigan. Ben Watson played the ball wide to James Perch, who shot wide of the target from inside Cardiff's box. The visitors looked comfortable on the ball, but Cardiff were also confident in possession.
The Premier League side were soon behind, however. Jordi Gomez got to the left byline and drilled the ball across the face of goal. Waiting in the middle was Chris McCann, who slotted in from six yards out.
The Latics continued to play some nice football, but the Bluebirds equalised against the run of play. Mats Daehli found Wilfried Zaha in the area, but the winger was crowded out. The ball dropped for Fraizer Campbell, who smashed in a low shot.
Daehli and Zaha then combined again, but the Norwegian was unable to keep his shot down.
Despite appearing to be in control, Cardiff conceded for a second time just before the break. Gomez rolled a free kick to Watson, who hammered his shot in from 30 yards.

+1
no sign of "high shoulders", Cala can be a threat in front of goal aswell.
Coupled with Jones, you have two players with excellent qualities in the air.

Championship side Wigan knock Cardiff out of the FA Cup
Kirsten Schlewitz Feb 15, 2014, 12:01 PM EST
Last year’s FA Cup winners will continue their charge to this year’s final, with Championship side Wigan beating Premier League side Cardiff to advance to the quarterfinals.
The visitors took a surprise lead early in the first half, when Jordi Gómez got away from the Cardiff defense to slide the ball across the face of goal. Chris McCann got on the end of it, catching the ball on the volley and sidefooting past David Marshall into the back of the net. It seemed the cup-holders were on course to make it through to the next round, particularly when they closed rank and defended.
But Wigan’s lead lasted less than ten minutes. It looked as though the Latics defense would manage to hold out, shutting down an attempt from Wilfried Zaha. But they couldn’t clear their lines, allowing Fraizer Campbell to pounce. Cardiff’s cup-hero threaded his shot through the Wigan bodies, past Ali Al-Habsi and into the back of the net.
Wigan weren’t prepared to let go of the Cup just yet, however. Another cup-hero stepped up in the form of Ben Watson, latching on to a ball from Marc-Antoine Fortune and blasting it into the back of the net.
As if that wasn’t enough action in the first half, the Bluebirds very nearly tied it up once more. Defender Cala, in his first appearance for Cardiff, managed to hit the post just before the break. Al-Habsi rescued the danger and Wigan went into the second half leading 2-1.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the second half failed to live up to the excitement of the first. Wigan held fast while Cardiff’s urgency increased, the hosts doing whatever they could to try and get into a good scoring position. Perhaps the biggest bit of excitement was when Al-Habsi had to stop a shot from Zaha in the 80th minute, but the offside flag was up anyway. In injury time, Zaha almost got ahold of a flick from Cala, but again Al-Habsi was there to save.
