Against the teams we've had to play recently, it's quite possible our first choice 11 may not have picked up any more points than our threadbare side has done.

Your first choice have hardly been pulling up trees either. :laughing6:

I think you're in the relegation battle & getting out of Europe must be a priority for you.

We're in a fight there's no question about it.

The biggest difference between this season and last season has been our inability to pick up points against the top teams.

However, we've just come through a terrible run of fixtures and injuries and despite this, are at 2 games clear of the relegation zone. Much like yourselves, February will be a defining month.

The back four that played today are first choice, so is Shelvey and so is Bony.

Add Britton and Routledge to that and it was hardly a patched up side

Excuses, excuses, excuses :laughing6:

Its twisting squirming Swansea fans that ruin this forum. Rather than admit you were wrong you just make up more excuses. Your squad has no depth yet you claim it did. Now you've been proven wrong you just say 'didn't expect this many injuries' well in response I say you're very naive because look in the past how many injuries sides have had such as Arsenal who've had title campaigns derailed by them. Come on NJ73 you are cleverer than that. Why twist things? You're turning into Roathie when he's bad. He's actually been okay recently so lets not have you turn into what he was by twisting things.

I'm not twisting anything.

It's glaringly obvious that a mid table team with this many injuries and the run of fixtures we've had would struggle.

And we lost at home to Spurs. Shocking eh?

Funnily enough we lost at home to them last year as well. Let's see how we do in the next month against teams in and around us.

You said earlier in the season though it wouldn't bother you because of squad depth yet it has bothered you. You have been proven wrong.

Did I say it wouldn't bother me to have this many players out? Please understand the difference between a couple of players and half a team.

The bottom line is these players will come back and give us fresh and different options for the winnable games coming up.

And even with all our injuries, we still stand 2 games ahead of you :thumbright:

So who are these 8 / 9 players who have been injured for a prolonged period of time?

You didn't say whether a couple of players or half a team earlier on. You gave a blanket statement that your season wouldnt be affected because of your squad depth. You've been proven wrong yet continue to say 'I didn't say this or that'. Give over, you made a blanket statement covering all possibilities. If you didn't think it was a possibility that you had more than a few players out when making such a statement then you're more of a crabstick than swansealad.

I didn't say 8/9 players have been out for a prolonged period. I said try taking 4 or 5 players out of your side for a prolonged period.

Much like us with Vorm, Hernandez, Dyer, Michu.

Didn't realise swans squirmed so much Barry. Interesting research for the field of animal science don't you think?

The fact remains that despite our current run, we are still 3 points (two games) above the relegation zone, still in the FA Cup and still in Europe and with lots of players to come back in and strengthen us for us to push on.

And that is clearly killing you all as you look up from the bottom of the table :laughing6:

Desperate plea this is and says more about how scared you are than us. Once Napoli rough up Bony a bit you're finished honestly. The more competitions you're in the better because all it does is drain your players etc.

Try taking Marshall, Medel, Mutch, Noone, Campbell out of your side for a prolonged period. How would you get on? And that's just 5 players.

Well you keep using this 8/9 players out at once - can you name them and name what games where you played with all these players out at once then?

If not, then it shows that you lied. :laughing6:

Its that 8 and 9 figure again :laughing5:

Theyve been out so long theyve had to "flog" the other players :laughing5:
