Score means nothing here, all that matters is performance, and we've put in a good one. Scoreline flatters Man City, but when they've got the talent they've got, they are always going to win games like this.

Was pushing for a point until the 75th minute.. We just look deflated now, Bellamy has made no impact whatsoever. Noone has been fantastic though!

Cool for Campbell getting the second goal and Eikrem the assist. You will grab points from the United game.

Eikrem put his first assist in the bag? He's only played 35 minutes total, I would expect 2 by now considering his skill ;)

Bellamy is trying to do too much, He got possession on opposition D then passes back to left midfield, THEN DOES AN OVER LAPPING f*cking RUN BACKWARDS TOWARD HIS OWN GOAL, AT THIS POINT HE IS ON THE HALFWAY LINE, A FREE MAN AND DEMANDS THE BALL BACK, WHICH HE GETS, THEN FUCKS ABOUT WITH IT AS IF HE IS AN PIRLO/XAVI TYPE PLAY-MAKER, SETTLING FOR A SQUARE BALL TO THE CENTRAL MIDFIELD. ALL THATFROM HAVING THE BALL ON THEIR AREA. ARE THE STAFF AFRIAD TO TELL GIVE BELLAMY INSTRUCTIONS?

Great performance. There'll be some idiots on here who say "we still lost 4-2", but I think Man City have just come one of those teams who you could lose 5-0 against and still say you played a decent game! :D

We've clearly started changing the way we play, playing from the back more often than not, playing possession more, etc. Noone looks like he's just been told to attack as much as possible, and even Whitts looks like OGS has had a few words with him to boost his confidence. We're only the second Premier League team to score two goals or more at the Etihad this season, Arsenal being the other team. If that doesn't tell you we are playing with a different philosophy now, I don't know what will.

Was that Eikrem with the assist for the second goal? Great stuff. Just pissed off I took Noone out of my fantasy team thinking he'd lose me points today!

I'm fairly sure it was Eikrem with the corner. He is better than Whittingham in my opinion. However, Cardiff need a striker more than a midfielder.

Means nothing right now, as it's all too close to call. If we take no points from United, and the teams around us win, then I'll be concerned about the table.

But let's be honest guys, if we play against United how we did today, we stand a genuine point of not only taking 1 point from them, but 3. Just hope bloody Rooney and RvP stay out injured!

Newcastle and today at Man City were both very good attacking football displays from us. If we transfer this type of play to the CCS then we can win enough games to stay up. I do believe that we as supporters have a part to play and at home we are not doing it. We need to encourage and be as loud as possible. I think the players looked nervous against WH.

I don't want to get involved in the OGS - MM debate but having seen our last two away matches, then it does frustrate me that with this style of football we could have had results at Stoke and Palace, as they were painful to watch and both sides were there to be beaten.

Hey ho, onward and upward, look where one win can take you. Time to do this together :ayatollah:

being bottom in mid January is a massive concern to me. It becomes a psychological weight on the shoulders.

Who ever Cardiff play after Man Utd is a must win.

I feel like OGS was just making some pretty damning indirect statements about the mindset Malky built into the players, on Soccer Saturday. Said it was unacceptable how they sat off City for the first 10 minutes and just let them do what they wanted to, etc. When asked why that happened, he added "their mindset has to change", etc.

Tell me about it, Ole, I been watching that shit for ages now! :D

When you look at some of the scores at this ground....

Man City 6-3 Arsenal
Man City 3-0 Jacks
Man City 6-0 Spurs
Man City 7-0 Norwich

....it puts our result into perspective. Whilst most of the team have adapted to the PL, and some like Mutch & Noone have blossomed, there are the likes of Turner & Gunnarsson who look out of their depth. I don't think we are that far away from having a decent mid table side. Eikram to come in for Gunnarsson, someone to partner Caulker and a forward/winger with pace and an eye for goal and I can see us staying up.
